About the scale

The scale keeps me in check. When I put it away, I gained. -
Cooper, I lost 100lbs with my band. I are well and worked out 4x per week. After hurting my back I slowed down, after surgery no exercise at all. I gained 40lbs back. I know how you feel. How about a fresh start? We can do it!

Question about fills...
alotlessofme replied to dlynn1635's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After seven months of no fills I decided to get one a week before christmas. I was fine from that Weds to Sat., After that I couldn't even get down water. I spent two nights choking on my own saliva. I was also spitting up mucus and foaming. After 3 days of suffering I went and had the 1/2cc taken out. I still want more restriction but feel really scared to do so. I think I may try again at the end of this month, but I'll only do 1/4cc. I was banded on Jan 29th 2009 to date I have lost 88lbs. Thats counting the 10 that I have gained and lost again. Anyway good luck. -
It's been a while since I've been here!! I'm celebrating 70lbs lost!! 36 more to go. I must say that I do get fustrated at times when I just can't get the food down! Those are the days when I'm super hungry and take that bite, swollow with out chewing well. YOU KNOW THE REST. Anyway, gotta keep going!! I'm excited. My first summer in a long time where I can actually enjoy the rides at the amusement park! Mrytle beach here I come!!

I used Dr. Nusbaum in Livingston. He and his staff to say the least are wonderful. His number is 973-322-7977. -

It is absolutely worth it. Definately changed my life. I'm not always on this site like I should be but I do find it helpful. My band has taught me that food is really not that important. I still eat everything except beef and bread. Just have to make sure you eat slowly or you will have nasty consequences. Reach out anytime you like. My email is JER33N3@yahoo.com -
so how much have u lost so far...?
alotlessofme replied to orcidgrl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've lost 50lbs. 4 fills. FEELING REALLY GOOD!!!! -
I was all set to get my fourth fill and suddenly felt like I didn't need it. It seem like the denser the food the fuller I feel and some times I feel like I can eat too much. I don't weigh my self often but I do know I'm loosing just by the fit of my clothes! JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO SCHEDULE THOSE FILLS.

That was going to be my suggestion ~ consignment and thrift shops!

So, I decided to weigh myself on Saturday. I took off my jeans (you know they weigh a pound alone) and stepped on the scale and to my surprise I'm down 41lbs. I never thought I would see the 260's I'm ready for 250! Go Me!! I'm encouraged to keep moving no matter how slowly the weight seem to trickle off.:confused3:

Looking for honesty here...

I don't always make the mark. Chocolate is my absolute weakness. So, I eat chocolate. I don't want to live life deprived. I do make sure I walk two miles at least 3 times a week; in addition, I weight train. It's slow but we have to make the best of the tool we chose. -
Hi, I'm not great at this but my computer converts 35lbs into 15.87573 kilograms. So what ever that mean. I was banded on Jan. 29, 2009.

I knew it would be slow and in the beginning I was saying I should have had the bypass. At the same time who want the hanging skin??? So right now I'm happy seeing the weight trickle rather than not at all. I try to make my goals ten pounds at a time so that it don't seem so big. Eventually, hopefully in a year I'll have another 70 off reaching my goal. It's slow but I didn't gain all off this over night. -
My mother n law gave me this beautiful red suit. I mean bright red!! gorgeous and expensive. Problem I couldn't fit the red suit. This was around mother's day. I made a goal for myself to fit that red suit. Well, on Sunday I wore my red suit. Since I don't have a scale (scared of the numbers) I use my "smaller sizes" as goals. I MADE THAT GOAL. I know I have the first 25 then 30 off. I'm thinking now it has to be at least 35off. Definitely 3 sizes down and feeling good!!
