    stinky question

Yes, I too chew the tablets, but mostly because it gets downright painful!
  6. I have done that several times... Couple of things you can do, either get an unfill (obviously) or make sure you are drinking Water and eating something like tomato soup, if you keep working at it, and drinking and eating smooth thin foods, it should begin to loosen after a while, you have to work at it, if get dehydrated it will only get worse, the less you eat/drink the worse it will get, I don't know why. I get scared to get un-filled too, for that reason, but if you can make this fill work you won't have too, otherwise, you should get to your doc. Mine will take me same day if I get to the point where I can't get anything down.. LUCK!

What Foods did you have to give up?

bread, fries, anything "doughy"... But I do fine with Chicken, I eat that a lot, cheese too, and lots of soup. I heard some can't do soda, but I can, if I do it slowly. I can't do salad really well, something about the lettuce never goes down... Of course all this depends on how tight my band is...

Still have to "work" HARD after lapband???

I am new here, but I have had my band since last January, and have lost approx 75lbs, I agree with you! I had this done so that I wouldn't have to diet. And I don't! I eat whatever I want as long as I can, my theory is that I was eating a TON of food, now since my portions are so much smaller, I eat only what I want, that I can get down. It is a learning process, as far as what you can get down, and what you can't...Ex. I cannot eat bread, french fries, etc, but boy I can eat Icecream! Eventually it just becomes second nature, you just have to figure out what works for you. I am probably the worst lapband patient, I don't really exercise regularly my dinner is often tomato soup and icecream... But I feel great, and look great, and am in a size 12 for the first time in my life... BUT I also have mine pretty tight, so again... It is a learning process that only you can figure out... I think I rambled... But no, I wouldn't say it is hard work like Weight Watchers or Slim Fast or something like that... Just learning what you can eat and what you can't
