I have been reaching out to others to find out if there is hair lost after the surgery for black women of color?> I dont want to lose my hair. I go for my first appt w/ the dr. on 5/7/09 I have BC-BS insurance and I dont think that will be a problem and I had to have of 5 years weight loss history. I havent done the Physic nor the nutritionist part yet. Is that scary? Hit me back- I sent a friend request:-)

well i must tell you that first off everyone is different, and so are their Dr.'s but the thing with the restriction happens to everyone. it wasn't until maybe my 3rd one that i was satisfied. you are on the right road it's just still moving slow so don't be disappointed. i was confused after my 1st fill because i could eat just about the same amount as i was able to before i had my surgery. i was told just because you can get it down, don't mean you should! i think you sould practice eating smaller amounts and stop before you get full. we have all been there and it will get better so just hang in there and stay focused.
when you have time you can check out my blog and see what i've been through so far (click below)

Right now, i am very disappointed! I had my surgery on 03/13/2009 and when I went for my post op, I had come down 8 lbs...when i went for my first fill on 04/13/2009 i gained 6lbs! So even after my first fill I am not feeling too much restriction. I don't go back for my second fill until 05/12...i don't think i can wait that long. How are you coming along with your journey?

Hey there Tiffany! I feel a whole lot better today. I went back for my week follow-up and I had a lot of imflamation around my band causing me to have spasms and shortness of breath, so they removed all the saline and....all i can say is WHEW! So I go back in 3 weeks for my first fill...

HI Tiffany,
I feel much better now. I had to go back and let them remove all the saline out of my band because I had too much inflamation around the band. So I feel great! Still trying to get used to being on this liquid stage but it's ok. thanks for asking.
