3 Year Round-Up for Feb07 Bandsters
Ready to Lose replied to vermonster05488's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hello to all of my fellow bandsters!! Wow it has been a long time. I am so grateful for the 'shout out' because I really need to get back on track!!! I have successfully gained back @ 25lbs. (I will need to verify that) No, the band didn't give up on me, I have just fallen into 'bad choice' mode. I will fix my banner when I can and I welcome all the help and encouragement you are willing to give. For all my friends out there........ The journey begins again!!! -

Plateau's Somebody talk to me
Ready to Lose replied to anillacookie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I could have written all of these messages. I was banded Feb 2007. (@ 1 1/2 years out) Lost the majority of my weight in the first 6 months. Haven't lost anything in about 8 months. Still have good amount to lose. Still have restriction. STill PB if I drink too fast, or eat something of the wrong consistency. (I PB at least 1x a week). I never had what is called 'steady loss' 1-2 lbs a week. I would do major losses --- then nothing. I have lost around 60 -65 lbs. I would LOVE to lose some more........its just not happening. All in all, I wouldn't change a thing. 60 lbs lighter feels soooo much better then 60 lbs heavier!!! Good luck to all. -
many months now. I have changed my ticker to motivate myself!! !!:smile2: I have gotten lazy regarding band rules. Hopefully I can re-engerize myself by seeing it down in print! Maybe it will help someone else get back on the 'band-wagaon' again.

Skinny: Dont be so disappointed in yourself........ it wasn't your fault that you got sick. And as far as I'm concerned your hubby is acting like a "butt", :biggrin2:. Some men, (including mine) think their helping and end up saying the most insensitive things. You can do it!! Me too!! Come on Skinny, join the journey again & restart with the '30 Rule' - chew EVERYTHING 30 TIMES - meal should take 30 minutes to eat - no drinking 30 minutes before or after meals Thats how I'm restarting Best of luck. Ready to lose We have too, we've worked too hard to get this far. I have faith in you

Brandy: 16 is my mini goal. Or shall I say my ULTIMATE goal. I have lost 70 lbs -- regained about 5lbs. So right now I am the proud dis-owner of 65 mean pounds!!!!!!!!!1 I am so grateful of my band. I was banded in Feb.2007 Just see myself slipping and dont want too!!

Vasovagal response ie fainting after fill?
Ready to Lose replied to deneicy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have the exact same experience EVERYTIME I have a fill. As a matter of fact, if they don't get the needle in the port after a few minutes (searching for hole) I have to insist that they stop the procedure!! I try to combat it by calmly picturing myself somewhere else, singing songs in my head, etc. etc. But like I said,....... if their in there too long it invetiablly happens.......I Cannot control it. It really is quite bothersome. Crazy as it sounds, it works a little better for me if my Shoes and socks are off!!!:cool2: I know now I sound crazy!! Let me know if you find out anyway that helps you. -
Over 40 years old and in ONDERLAND
Ready to Lose replied to caligal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Morning!! I have been banded for over a year (Feb 5) I'm in ONEDERLAND as well, I started at 250 Currently at 183 First few months were my most rapid loss, from there on it has been terribly slow.........if I average it out...about half a pound every 2 months I'm fighting to hold on to my 183 (I've been as low as 180, for a day!!!) I have about 50 more to go... my fill is at 4.4 in a 4cc band. So I think anything I get below 180 will be excellent!!! I love my band I never could keep the weight off without it. Good luck to all my fellow 40's -
Good luck with your promotion news!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm cheering for you
-
Debbie Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm currently at 4.4 cc's. Each day brings something different.
-
Sula: Dr. put me up to 4.6 cc's (to tight) I waited 1 week (lost 8 lbs!!!) Back to dr. took out .2cc's Now at 4.4 cc's Trying to control my intake this week so I don't gain back weight!! ITS NOT EASY!! How much fill do you have?
-
Went to dr's today. I had 4.6 cc's in my 4cc band. Wasn't able to eat anything (had about a week on the liquid diet) They took out .2cc's and what a major difference!!! I can drink and this afternoon I had some eggsalad! Unbelieveable what a difference .2cc's can make!!! Thanks for listening
-
thanks for all who listened!!! I appreciated it. with 4.6cc's it does feel too tight, I will have to go to doc's by weeks end if it doesn't loosen some. Cant eat anything (not even icecream, without it coming back to me) had 3 tablespoons of chicken broth today. (not succesfully) But being on the liquid only phase I have dropped lbs. exactly, idk I want to wait a week to find out! Good luck all

February 07 Bandiversaries!!!
Ready to Lose replied to travelgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ok went to doc's he filled me to 4.6 cc's (in 4cc band) He said it can be stretched to 5 cc's. I really hope this works. Cause after I reach 5 cc's its just me by myself (no more restriction possible) Its causing me to freak out somewhat. I would love to know that in the future I could have some left to help me out throughout my lifetime!! But on the otherhand as crazy as it seems, I am enjoying the liquid (detox) stage, I hope it gives me the boost that I need!!! Whats going on with you guys (other febs that are here!!:tongue2:) -
Hey guys, I'm a Feb. bandsters, hope you don't mind the intrusion:smile: Wondering if any of you have this. I have a 4 cc band. Just got a fill yesterday which will bring me to 4.6 cc's. Anyone else over 4 cc's? Im nervous out being so high, from my understanding then thats it! Lifetime. I'm not going to be able to go beyond 5 cc's. Then its truely 'all me'. EEEEKKKK. At this point I wish I had two bands in place!!!! Anyone have any similar experience?

How much weight have you lost?????
Ready to Lose replied to Kay_Benavides's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi all, I am soon to be banded 1 year!!! I have successfully taken off 62 lbs. I'm at the point now that I am thrilled that I have maintained it off. It is much harder to lose now then it was before. It just took me 2 months to take of .5 lbs, and I couldn't be happier!!! There is NO way I could have kept the weight off without the band. Keep moving forward!!!
