My first pregnancy ended in m/c. I was beyond devestated. I was depressed and angry at the world. So I understand what you have gone through. If you are suspecting that you could be pregnant again, please see your dr.

I was told to wait a year also, but sometimes life just happens. It took us fertility treatments to get both our boys. And who knew losing 80+ pounds would make my body work the way it should and get pregnant 4 months after having surgery. And yesterday we found out we are having twins. I called my surgeon today to find out what I needed to do with my fills and they just said congrats and it was up to me and my OB. Good luck

Bounser - that is awesome! Congrats mandze90 - I know I'm not getting enough protein in either. I try to do my best with the shakes and eating protein. tbird - you are doing great! It is amazing to think it has already been 5 months!

Doer - thank you. I am scared of gaining a bunch of weight. I'm trying to remind myself that I am suppose to gain weight and I can get it back off after the baby is here. But your mindset is so different after losing so much weight.

himow - I bet you will be down that 40lbs by your wedding. That is so exciting..congrats Viv - how cool to have a random neighbor comliment you like that. I give the same answers when I am asked how I have done it. steff - that is horrible for your dr to be saying that. everyone is going to lose at their own pace! Not much going on here except I am eagerly awaiting my first u/s on the 5th! This baby has a horrible sweet tooth and I can't seem to tell him or her no.

I haven't gotten any emails lately so I thought everyone was just being quiet! Lauren - so true! You can't expect the band to work for you if you don't work with it. However this baby has a major sweet tooth and made me gain a few pounds already.

I had my band put in when ds2 was 17 months. They never gave me any type of restriction as far as when I could get the band after having a baby.

Congrats to both of you. I found out about a week ago that I am going to have a band baby. :eek: I am constantly hungry and have put on 4 pounds in a week, but I know I have not been making good food choices either. Plus I haven't gone to the gym due to being so tired. But I am trying to get back to my routine without over doing it.

Definitely shake it up! Your body gets use to routine. Well pregnancy is already killing my weightloss. I am up 4 pounds in less than a week. I just feel hungry all the time! And I have not been making the best food choices. Not to mention I have slacked on my exercise routine due to being tired all the time. But I am back going to the gym and watching what food I put into my mouth. I am determined not to gain a lot of what I lost back. With ds2, I only gained 13 pounds and that was without the band. So I'm hoping to repeat that.

Everyone is different. I have had a lot of luck with mine and would do it all over in a heartbeat.

Hello everyone. I had to come on and share my news. I just found out that I am pregnant. I am just 4 wks and Due Dec 26th. I am shocked and so excited. I have 2 sons: 3 and 1. So kind of hoping this one is a little girl, but will take a healthy baby! Not looking forward to getting my band unfilled especially now that I am at my sweet spot. But I had to do what is best. I'm hoping I can keep some fill. I don't want to gain back all of what I lost. Have a great week!

I paid $3000 to the clinic and just got a bill for $610 for the anestesia. I have crappy insurance and am quite surprised they even covered WLS.

No, they will not do it if you are pregnant. I even had to take a pregnancy test the morning or surgery. When it came back neg, they told me I was okay'd for surgery.

Hey everyone. I have been without a computer for a week and I am so happy to be back online. I didn't go back and read, but I hope everyone had a great Easter and are doing well. I seen some of you were talking about restriction. I didn't feel good restriction until my 4th fill. Now sometimes I almost wonder if I am too tight. I am unable to eat breakfast, so I end up having a glass of milk. Usually for lunch I can eat a little something. Today I ate half of a Smart Ones dinner for lunch. For me, it seems like I feel the hungriest in the afternoon. I only have 1 more weigh in for the Biggest Loser through our Y. I'm hoping to get down another 5 pounds before then. That should put me at 50 pounds lost since the start of it in January. It has definitely kept me motivated to go to the gym. Oh and I tried Zumba for the first time today. It was a lot of fun, but wow am i sore.

I have had 4 fills for a total of 8.4ccs in an 11cc band. It wasn't until the third fill that I felt a little restriction. Now with the fourth fill, I have a lot of restriction.

You should join us in the December buddy group. It is a nice way to see how others are doing and to compare notes!

Danielle - I can relate to your small victory. I never got my period on my own. Now my visitor is here every month like she is suppose to be.

I would say get a fill. That is a crazy strict rule. I just had my 4th fill yesterday and they only say liquids for 24 hours and then mushies. Last night I had some refried Beans because I needed something a little more. I can tell a huge difference since getting my fill yesterday. I just hope this type of restriction holds up. I'm sure to kick this plateau. Plus I just called the Y to get set up with a personal trainer. Are they any others out there who are looking to have a baby after being banded? I already have 2 sons, but me and the hubby would love to add a third. I did rounds and rounds of fertility treatment to get my two wonderful little boys. I know I would have to continue my fertility treatments, but I'm hoping it would be easier this time around. Any others?

I have hit a major plateau. I haven't lost anything in over a week. It seems like I just keep jumping up and down a couple of pounds. I go in Monday for my next fill and I am so ready!

I can't help you on the couch to 5k. I have heard of it, but do not know anything about it. Sorry.
