I haven't wore my wedding ring in nearly a year because it is way too big and I havent went to have it sized yet. I did have my mothers ring resized because I needed a new stone put in it. I got it the month that I was banded and got a size 8 1/2. I had it resized in January to a 6 1/2. I never realized my fingers would srink so much.

GOod luck. I go for a consultation on Thursday. I am so ready to have the excess skin on my tummy removed!

I was banded Dec 17, 2009 and lost 26lbs on my 2 week pre-op diet. Surgery was smooth sailing and I was heading home only 4 hours later. It was a 3 hour drive. My recovery time went great and was back up and moving around in no time. Quickly started getting fills and losing weight. I also hit the gym and joined our Y's biggest loser competition to get the competitor in me going. By the time the competition was over in April, I was now down a total of 83lbs and pregnant...with twins! I was a little depressed with the thought of my weight going back up, but embrassed it. My band was loosened in July and in August we found out we had lost one of our twins at 20 weeks due to complications. I had our band baby Dec 16, 2010, just one day shy of my one year band anniversary. I gained 30lbs during my pregnancy. My son is now 4 months old and I have lost all my pregnancy weight plus a little over 40lbs. I hit the gym 4/5 times a week and I also joined our Y's biggest loser competition again this year to get my motivation going again. I am now 16 months out of surgery, had to take a baby break for 9 months, but am happy to say that I am down 126lbs! That is only 5lbs away from my goal and 15lbs away from my drs goal. I go next week for plastic surgery consultation to have a tummy tuck. After being over weight for a long time, plus having 3 boys all over 9lbs, has put a number on the excess skin I have. This was me on the say of surgery (actually a little embarassed to even post..but here goes) Here I was just this past Friday. I went from wearing a 3x and size 28 jeans to now wearing a Large and size 14 jeans.

My goal was always simple. I wanted to walk into Victoria Secrets and buy a matching bra and panty set once I hit goal. Well I'm at goal now and we dont have the extra money for me to do it. One day I would love a tummy tuck and boob job!

I had both mine done over 10 years ago when they were still putting hoops through them. I had to take them out cuz I kept hitting them and they would never heal. I have since had 3 babies and I breastfed each one of them without a problem. In fact I am breastfeeding my youngest as I type. I would love to get them repierced one day.

Thank you. It has been quite the journey, but I am so happy that I decided to take it and had a great support system!!

TracyW2 replied to 1970MaleJaxFL's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I dont know if mine counts or not, but I am down 126lbs in 16 months, plus I had a baby 4 months ago. You cant really count those 9 months, can you? And yep I got preg 4 months after being banded. So in 7 months I lost 126lbs, plus 30lbs of baby weight. -

7 weeks pregnant with lap band
TracyW2 replied to TRENYA07's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
My band baby is now nearly 4 months old. I didnt get any taken out of my band until I was 15 weeks. At that point my band just got too tight and I couldnt even get much Water down. I gained the most right after having some taken out. I was at 8.5cc in an 11cc band and it was taken down to 4cc. I had my baby at 38 1/2 weeks and I ended up gaining 30pounds with him. Within the first two weeks I lost 25 pounds. Try not to get too wrapped up in the scale. I know it is so much harder said than done, but it is all worth it in the end!! CONGRATS -
Absolutly, no regrets!! I am loving the new me!

Where is everyone at? I hope you are all doing wonderful and being successful losers! My band baby is here, in fact he is 2 months old now. I had him the day before my 1 year band anniversary. Wow what a first year with my band that was. Best decision that I ever made for myself!! Hope some of you check in and let us know how you are doing!

Just wanted to wish you good luck throughout your pregnancy. I got pregnant after loosing 83 pounds in just 4 short months. It was hard to no longer be losing weight. I now have a few days left before my c/s and I have gained 28 pounds, which i dont think is too bad. And my second son was born on Aug 1st.

Lap Band V.S. C-section.
TracyW2 replied to Yinette04's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My kids were 1 and 3 when I was banded last year. The first week was difficult, but I had a lot of help. Plus I wasnt able to pick up my little one, so that was the hardest part. -
Lap Band V.S. C-section.
TracyW2 replied to Yinette04's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had 2 c/s and the lap band was by far the easiest. I was heading home within about 4 hours of my surgery. -
Anyone willing to tell me a little about their experience being banded and pregnant?
TracyW2 replied to SarahCasey's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
* The ease of getting pregant while banded I got pregnant the first cycle we tried * The ability to get enough nutrition for the baby while banded I had to get half the liquid take out of my band at 15 weeks. I was having trouble keeping food down * Labor with the band. Is it more difficult? Can you have a normal C section delivery when you're banded? This will be my third c/s, but first band baby. My c/s is scheduled like normal. Both my OB and band dr see no issues about having a c/s. * How the port reacts when pregnant. Does the port cause problems as your stomach grows larger when you're pregnant? My belly is pretty big now and I have had no issues with my port. You can easily feel it since everything is getting smashed in there. Best of luck to you! -
Getting pregnant with PCOS

Congrats! I hope you have an amazing and wonderful nine months. Isn't it just amazing what some weight loss can do!! -
I'm 31weeks and have gained about 25pounds now. I wasnt expecting to gain this much, but I am just taking it in stride. I know the weight will come back off once baby is here.

I am a big fan of the Smart Ones!!

I have put on about 20 pounds. I would try not to worry too much about the gain. Most of it will come off right after the baby is born. And I always said that if I did it once, I can do it again. The baby weight is just a slight set back.

How long did it take from the time you decided to get banded to your surgery date?
TracyW2 replied to Amanda1982's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to a seminar in Feb 09 and was banded in Dec 09. -
I conceived twins on 200mg of clomid, 2000mg of met, and IUI. I have PCOS and a severe male factor. Sadly we lost one of our twins at 19 weeks due to a bleeding problem that I had earlier in my pregnancy.
