Nope, not at all. I had a slight unfill because I was having trouble getting food down. No complications with the band and being pregnant.

In 2 years I not only lost 160lbs, but I also had a baby. At 4 months post band, I got pregnant and it was a high risk pregnancy to boot. So no more exercising and no more weight loss for a year. But once he was here and I got the green light, back in the gym I got. You can do it!!

What Was The Final Straw To Help You Make Your Decision?
TracyW2 replied to ashiashley's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me there was a lot of things leading up to my decision. Mainly the fact I didnt have the energy to play with my kids. I seen an add for a seminar and decided to join it. I left knowing I wanted to do this. Made the call and got the process rolling. I had to do a 6 month diet and the whole time I was second guessing myself. I am beyond thrilled that I went through with it and put my all into it. Have not regretted a day of it! Best of luck to you! -
Its not just because of WLS, its the trama your body has gone through. Around 3 months after each of my c-sections, I had the same issues with hair loss. Hopefully you can keep from having this issue.

My kids are young and they dont recognize the old me at all. I will ask them who that is and they have no idea.Pretty cool feeling, huh?

Do You Add Protein Powder To Your Meals?
TracyW2 replied to manderoo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I make protein chocolate bars that gives me that fix for my sweet tooth, but its healthy and gives me some added protein. -
I have had the same issue. It is like I went from one extreme to the next. Just remember you do need calories to lose weight. Your body will go into starvation mode if you arent feeding it. I typically feel better on the days I allow myself to have more calories. I just overall feel like I have more energy.

Whey Protein Suggestions Needed
TracyW2 replied to VickyPR's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use Optimum Nutrition from GNC and you really want to use a blender. My favorite is vanilla or chocolate whey protein with peanut butter and a frozen banana and skim milk. So yummy!! -
My boobs were the last to go for me. Went from a 46DDD to a 38C. Poor things are so deflated

Protein Shakes Enough For A Breakfast Meal?
TracyW2 replied to meyouus's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm 2 1/2 years out and still have a protein shake for breakfast. Sometimes I make a fruit smoothie and add protein powder to it. But my band is too tight in the mornings for me to get food in. I have been working on muscle building since the beginning of the year along with my cardio so I need a lot of protein. -

After Pregnancy Weight Loss
TracyW2 replied to mnjhowell's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
JWL=your story is similar to mine. I got pregnant with twins after having the band, but lost one of the babies around 19 weeks. I now have a very healthy 18 months old little boy. I am so sorry to hear about your loss but congrats on your little boy. It is so difficult watching one and knowing there should be two. My heart goes out to you! -
Champaign Illinois Anyone? Central area?

kmom...i have the same dr, but im in quincy. Love his staff! -
I get the same comments. When I tell them I would still like to lose 10lbs, I get the question "Where?" I was once a size 28 and now a 6, but I still see areas to lose. And OMG! I get the question if they are going to take the band out too? Heck no. That baby is staying put!!

I love exercise. I'm addicted to it. I am at the gym 5 days a week. Do cardio for 20-30 mins and then lift weights for about 30-40 mins. I contribute my success to it. It took me 2 years to lose 165 pounds and to be at goal. I also had a baby along the way.
-
I would suggest getting a slight unfill. I go out to eat with friends, but it usually takes me a while to eat. I haven't completely cut out sweets, I just have them in moderation. But I am also at the gym 5/6 days a week. I do 20/30 mins on the ARC trainer and then about 30/40 mins of weight lifting. Good luck

So happy to hear from some of you. Today is my 32nd bday and I am happy to say I officially reached my goal today of losing half myself!! I started out at 330 and today I offically weigh 165. It is such a crazy feeling to be at goal. I am hoping for a tummy tuck this summer. That will just be icing on the cake for me. Don't give up!

TracyW2 replied to BeautyLarue's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I never felt anything my first fill. It wasnt until my fourth fill that I finally felt restriction. Now it does take a week or two for my fill to kick in. -
