Discussed TTC w/ Surgeon - Is this the norm?
firestorm replied to mabower's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Everyone's surgeon will have different idea's on this. Im from the UK and my surgeon didnt say anything about getting pregnant post op. I paid for my op, and after it was done, that was my discharged so i have never seen surgeon again. As it happend I fell pregnant 3 months after getting banded. My pregnancy consultant had never had a kpatient with a band in, so i was teaching her, lol. The only concern she had was i was gettin enough Vitamins, so had to take a supplement. I was never actually sick, just had retching and had no problems throughout my whole pregnancy. -
well, as the title says im 7 weeks pregnant, and feeling rubbish, i feel nauseaus all day, am a little bit sick in the morning, but the feeling sick all day is horrible. Im trying to eat little and often, but iam really struggling to eat, i can hardly eat meat, or bread, or fish etc, it just gets stuck. Iam so miserable and wish i had never gotten my band, i dont know if its just the morning (all day) sickness or if my band has gotten tight, i dont know if i should get an unfill?? I was self-pay for my band, and basically got the band, and thats it was discharged, i dont see a dr reguarly or anything, any help would really be appreciated.

hi, I cant give you an explination of why this happens, but yes i get this too, every time i roll onto my left i get lots of tummy noises and burping. -
Hi, Any advice would be appreciated!! So i was banded on 24th Feb, Had my first fill a week ago, Im having two health shakes a day (approx 250cals) and a tin of Soup a day, plus Water. Between starting my pre-op diet and today ive lost about 20lbs, but the last few days i haven't lost a thing!! Im swimming twice a week and walking 3 nights. Im feeling good, but im disheartend that ive come to a wee bit of a stand still. any ideas? Thank you!

sorry, i didnt make myself clear there, after op i was on foods, but since fill a week ago ive struggled. Fill was done under xray, and dr was very happy with everything. I just presumed that after fill it will just need a bit of time to settle?

Thank you for reply, i did wonder if i maybe needed more calories. Yes and no about the shakes, it is convenitent for me to take them with me, but atm im struggling a bit with eating, sometimes i can eat no problem and the next i cant take anything, but im not feeling hungry.

Im from Scotland, you? Im feeling good, I was very sore for the first few days, but it's to be expected!! im loving my band, lol, im still on post-op liquids just now, and admit its tough, because i really want to chew something, lol, but i just keep thinking of the weight loss and it keeps my going!! Lisa was my co-ordinator, cant rememper off the top of my head my surgeon, i ended up not having the surgoen do the op that was supposed to, only due to me having to stay an extra night and get my op the day after i was supposed to. -
