Reggie....When I went to my pre op appt the other day they had me bring my vitamins...I had gotten the Flinestones w/Iron....they are the wrong ones I hadto go get the Flinestones complete...as strange as it is the have more Iron in them then the ones that say Iron....Robin said it and I agree with the vitamins it can be overwhleming there are so many choices, but stick with the Flinestones complete they dont taste bad and they everything you need...also I have the same calcium chews Christine has and Robin said those were perfect!!! Thursday should be ok...I need to see if I can get a baby sitter.......Not sure where everynoe lives...but if we go somewhere in Natomas I can drop the kids off at kids park....they love it there.....and I know there is a Mimi's there......but I can always work something out...let me know

Riley...thank you for your posts...everytime I see one from you saying how much you love it it makes me that much more comfortable about my decision!!! Tina...dont trip about Liz, some people say she isn't very nice.....she may not be real personable, but as long as you answer her questions and tell her what she NEEDS to hear....I think she has a tough job...she has to weed out the people who are weak....oh and make sure your test is done...I saw what happened to another lady who didn't have hes done...not pretty!!! Nicole....were you mentioning May 1st as a time for us to get together? If so I that would work for me...after 04/29 I am off till 06/01......Can't wait!!!!! No work.....

You know the whole am I doing the right thing....I think was going over the food diet after surgery that made me a little scared....

But he is held by his position to keep it confidential!! So everyone thinks I'm having hernia surgery.....hernia surgery that's going to make me health and thin!!! 3 weeks from today and counting

Wow Tina....It's here!!!!! I'm so excited or you!!!! Just think it will beo over soon and you can start moving on!!! That's what i'm looking forward to!!! So today, Easter...Great....I did good at work then we went to my brother in laws and what did IO do over eat...ok no more holidays time to gain control again!!!! I'm telling you I learned something about myself today...I have a hard time in these social enviroments....I hade no idea how bad it was!!!!!! So I went with the hernia thing too...I started with the Gallblader but after talking to people it looks like the hernia is closest to this surgery so I just kind of started with oh they can feel a hernia....I hate fibbing....but I know the people I work with and they will talk so much crap and just make this a negative thing for me...I dont need that...it was a hard enough decision and really thier issues will be more driven from bein jelous than anything else!!!

It's strange here everything has been going so smooth, I've really had no problems with the pre op diet and then yesterday it started......I ate a few things that I normally would have turned my nose to....now I feel like the rains have been let loose....what is wrong with me...I've come so far and now I'm going to toss it all away for food.....I hate admitting this but it's like a drug to me (as Edward said to Bella in Twilight, yes I'm to old for it, but I love it!! he, he) I'm a little scared......I only have 3 weeks and am only 4 pds below goal...any advise ladies...I could really use it!!!!

Ok so when do I get this wonderful CD you all keep talking about? It sounds so exciting!!!! We should plan a major shopping trip in like a yr or so, wouldn't that be fun...I keep telling my husband that I think just out of habbit I will go right for the plus sizew stores...he thinks I will suprise myself!!! It sucks though, it makes this whole thing a little harder, but I think I told you how negative they are and catty and I don't need that!!!!Thier a very judgemental group...most of them and a few have had the surgery (gastric bypass) and now a few years later have gained it back so I can only amagine thier thoughts when I'm successfull, its to bad they couldn't just be happy for me like I would them...oh well I guess thats why work is work and my friends are my friends!! :sad:

I acctually alread met Dr.Baggs for my surgeon consult and I'm with you he is awesome...I cant amagine anyone else I would rather have doing my surgery!!!! I hate people lile that, there was a women in today who I over heard her say she had her orientation like 2 yrs ago or something and she didn't do her test, well you can amagine what happened when Liz got her, we ll then the women comes out just going off about Liz, its like well you have to do you part stop making it everyone elses fault and take some responsibility, you know? It kills me how some people try to cheat it, I guess I can only can speak for myself but this was not something I went into lightly, surgery is no joke so why would you even waist your time, it seems like more people are that way though. Since I have been meeting people I've found more people like that then people who are serious...there seem to only be few of us :tt2:

Ok so I feel like a total toad....I should read what you all were talking about before I posted my happy thoughts!!! Sorry!!! If it helps any I have been struggling with all of those things as well, like is this the right surgery for me.....or I've lost 16 pds in 4 weeks I can d othis on my own... but like Christine said I can but like every time before I will not be able to take it off......and with the surgery..at least for me...I know what to do...I know how I had to change my life....I just need the tool to keep it off....this tool is perfect....its non invasive, if theres problems it can be removed......gastric bypass is not reversable and it has much more health risks, but you know there are plus to it too....you know whats right for you.... :tt2:

Ok My sacto friends....I found it!!!! Christine I wanted to call you sssssooo bad, but I'm not sure if its to late so I guess I will have to wait tell tomorrow.... But in the mean time.....I GOT MY SURGERY DATE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the staff tere almost fell over on how fast this process has been for me, what can I say, I feel likew a rock star right now!!!! :tt2: So lets see, had my orientation on Masrch 3rd, saw my surgeon on March 11 (I think) dod my labs and EKG that day, saw the psych md yesterday, met with the case manager Liz (who was not the monster some people say she is:) am seeing Dr. Baggs tomorrow fopr my psychical and history, then I have the pre op class on the 16th, and meet with the doctor who will nock me out for surgery on the 24th (day before my bday and ready for this I will have surgery on May 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exactly 2 months and 1 day from orientation!!! I am not usually so confident or braggy (he he) but I can't help it right now!!!! I'm just to excited....My hard work paid off!!!!!

I am going for orientation on March 3rd at Kaiser Richmond.....does anyone know how long the process is from there? Or what the process is I am local in Elk Grove.......

I am so new to this...but noticed alot of you are from Sacramento so I was really hoping someone could help me along here..... I have Kaiser and contacted my doctor last month regarding my interest in lap band....she then informed me that she would send a referral for me. I recieved one of the appointment notices last week saying I have an appt for Bariatric orientation on March 3rd in Richmond.... Does anyone know what happens from here... Thanks for any input, I'm so excited and nervious all at the same time!!!!
