    4 Year Bandiversary

I did experience plateaus, I went back to my dr every 3 weeks for the first year. Sometimes I got an adjustment sometimes it was just for accountability & nutrition talk. After the first year I lost about 80 lbs, and it seemed like it was "free". I had to do very little. I didn't exercise and definitely didn't worry much about nutrition . I plateaued big time in year two. Only lost 2 lbs, I thought I needed a fill thinking more was better. I realized that wasn't the case, after 4 unfills I realized that I needed to divorce myself from the # in my band. I found that it actually worked better with far less Fluid. I had excellent appetite suppression and provided that I followed the rules in my Guide to Success I felt satisfied. I added exercise to my routine and started maintaining a 1400 cal diet. (I'm very tall) and managed to lose over 50 lbs last year. Exercise, nutrition & portion control are now just a part of my daily life. The iPhone app myfitness pal has helped tremendously. I feel like I'm the real me for the first time in my life. I'm not hiding behind my weight anymore.

8/5 is my 4 year bandiversary. I'm happy to say that I've lost over 150 lbs and I've managed to keep it off. It changed my life and I have no regrets. I'm living the life of my dreams. Thank you Dr. Montgomery.

    Twenty and Mexico?

Yes, the inital cost of going to mexico is cheaper and if you live in San Diego, I would say go to Dr. Kuri in Tijuana. But with LAGB, aftercare is essential to success. This means getting in for fills often. I had fills every 3 weeks for the first year. Compute the cost out of pocket for you to go back to Mexico for aftercare (fills/unfills if youre too tight, etc) and see which costs less. Also remember that while some doctors will take T.O.C. (transfers of care) many require that you've had your band for at least a year before they will see you and the inital cost for a T.O.C. can be $600 or more AND you'll have to pay for fills which can range from 150-300 depending on the doctor.

Any problems with oral Sex After Banding?

It's rude and kind of offensive. Put yourself in thier position, if he went down on you and after he was done he jumped up and ran to the restroom to rinse his mouth out, how would that make you feel?

August will be my 2 year bandiversary. I cannot believe it's been that long. My band saved my life and I've been sucessful beyond my wildest dreams. I feel better both physically and emotionally than I have in ages. Getting the band helped me take back control of my life and I cannot imagine life without it.:cursing:
