Congrats on the 20lbs, I'm already up to 17 myself and am 7 days post op. woohoo go us!:clap2: I'm sure the loss will slow down when I switch to solid foods, but I'm enjoying success and it's motivating as hell! I didn't go to the seminar because I attended one at Scottsdale Bariatric not long before I changed surgeons. Sorry if that confused you, but it is definately a great idea to see what you are in for. This is a HUGE committment. Sometimes I think I didn't realize how much until after I began. Seeing all the food and not touching it really messes with your mind. Yay, I see ya. Hopefully we'll recognize each other! :high5: It's going to be great to have a "band-buddy" to compare and support. Do you have an angel yet? I think Joyce has been trying to hook me up to a lady in Prescott, but that lady has never called or emailed or anything. I figured my angel would be more active in my process. :cry Oh well, I'm over it. LOL. So tell me how you heard about the band, what interested you in Dr. Simpson, and what your goals are. Do you have a profile on obesityhelp.com? Let me know! Mainline~Dr. Simpson's seminars are extremely helpful. He also has lunch dates etc. with his support group people. I will let you know about the pre-op teaching class. His before and after-care is top of the line according to all his patients I have spoken to. They really love him. And his office pet Diego is such a sweet little thing, definately moral support LOL. Come join us on his message board, or just lurk and watch us talk, you may get alot out of it or pick up a few people to speak to personally!

I actually live in a small town in Northwestern AZ called Bagdad. So, for me, this is a 2 hour drive. My brother lives in Scottsdale and I'm staying the night with him and then going to the class in the morning. My blackberry days are over thankfully, but after I finish college I guarantee that is back on...ugh. I tell ya, sometimes technology is too much. There are days I'd rather nobody know how to get in touch with me hahaha! I'll definately save you a seat...of course I have no clue what you look like LOL! But hey...you have that advantage on me then! I will see you Saturday!

Hi Julie, I will be attending that same pre-op "training" class! I am going to be banded on October 23 by Dr. Terry Simpson. I am so excited. Mainline ~ He and his staff have been fantastic to me, and very thorough with my paperwork and answering any questions. Also, Dr. Simpson got back with me the SAME DAY on his blackberry when I emailed him about medical questions. I think you will LOVE Dr. Simpson. I have talked to alot of his patients and they are really lovin life with his aftercare program. You aren't worked on and then forgotten, he has a very extensive after program. You can talk with his patients on his website message board at www.drsimpson.com. You can also look up his "stats" on www.obesityhelp.com. I hope I've been helpful. Great to meet you. I dont think my dogs got the JOB memo....damn it I KNEW I was getting ripped off hahaha! Our chihuahua is a pistol I tell ya, and we also have a mut named Dougan that is soooo sweet but sheds like crazy. They are definately part of the family and we love them like a child. They even fight like our kids hahaha! Oh by the way Nana, our kids are the same age!

I'm so sorry Joy Joy. I married my high school sweetheart and we were together a total of 15 years...3 dating and 12 married. I can't tell you how well I understand your pain. But, as the saying goes..."this too shall pass". I am happy to say that I've met a man this is everything to me and we were married in June. So, things happen for a reason. Maybe you are meant to go through this so that your next relationship will be a happy one. My thoughts are with you!

Okay then, my turn...I've never had much of a brush with fame, so those stories are out...but I've... Broken my leg climbing the fence to a well known athletic club in AZ just to swim in their GIANT jacuzzi. And then I had to climb back over the damn fence just so I wouldn't get a ticket for tresspassing. Stripped at a night club in Phoenix to pay for college back in my "skinny" days. I can shotgun a beer like nobody's business, but now that I'm over 30 it's harder to bounce back than it used to be hahaha! Me and my friends bet a man that he wouldn't jump off a bridge onto a gondala (spelling)...we paid him BEFORE he jumped. Yes, he jumped and busted up the boat and passed out while me and my friends ran as fast as we could to the hotel...this was in Amsterdam red light district. Had a one night stand with an ASU football player. Called in sick to work and said a friend died just so I could stay home and have sex with my husband. Bought a sling shot in Mexico for my son, but used it to shoot people on the beach with small sea shells hahahah...boy was that mean! Convinced my new husband to streak down the street with me...let's just say our neighbors will never be the same hahaha! Ok thats all I can think of even remotely interesting to anyone... I definately HAVE FUN LIVING!!!!
