I've had the same thing the past few days (I'm 3 weeks out) First I noticed it on my left side under my rib cage, but then realized I had it across on my right side too. Hurts to take a deep breath in. It's not all the time...but pretty uncomfortable when it is present. I haven't been working out, so I know it's not that. I know it's not heartburn/GERD. Let me know if you find anything out! I don't see my doctor until Friday, I have to remember to ask then.

Hi Vicki, I was thinking the same thing. I go for my first fill Friday the 10th. I'm very nervous about it. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate (ok, maybe a bad expression in this instance!!) :biggrin: but things will get better. Before you know it, this surgery will be a year(s) behind you, your hubby will be home and you'll see how far you've come! I'll be thinking of you, let me know how it goes. Talk to you soon!!

I'm feeling the same thing. I think it is just being so full of gas. I wish I could burp. I get a really tight feeling in my chest until it passes....I feel like I could explode right now!

I plan on tanning. I was just done on the 17th. I will probably start tanning on the 27th. I have a wedding to go to and want a bit of glow. Not looking completely pale and nasty from being shut in!!! I tanned after my lap chole and nothing happened. The scars are barely noticeable so I'm hoping the same is true for this!

Oh no, I'm there too. I'm hungry. (done 6/17). I'm sipping, eating jello and sf popsicles slowly. I'm allowed to have protein shakes but they are gross no matter how I Dr. them up. Trying to stay positive. Looking forward to mushies. My stomach won't stop growling! I am so full of gas I feel like I will just explode. Been using gas x strips and walking around the house/yard but not much has helped yet....Blah.

I hear ya! I was done on the 17th and I'm just not feeling good today. Just uncomfortable, nauseous...sick of jello, sf popsicles and protein shakes. Keep telling myself one day at a time. Can't wait for mushies...even a bite or two of scrambled eggs...something to hold me over!! I've never heard my belly growl like this before (Duh! I usually ate before I was even hungry!) My cat was freaked out overnight and heard it do a loud rumble...she shot up and jumped off the bed. Too funny!

I am going to be banded on 6/17 and I've read a lot about the synthrax nectar protein. Has anybody else not minded these? If so, I'm trying to find a website with variety packs since I don't want to buy a big tub of one or two flavors until I know I like them! Any advice would be great. Thanks!

My surgery is June 17th. Here is the problem: My hubby and I are going out of town July 3&4th since he is in our friend's wedding. It will be a little over 2 weeks from my surgery so I should still be on full liquids. What do I do? (I can't NOT go). I'm afraid it will be obvious if I'm not eating anything. And since it is at a reception place, I can't pull out a magic bullet and ingredients from my purse to make something I CAN eat. I guess I"m just afraid of an akward situation and being hungry!!!! Has anybody had to go to an important function this soon post-op?? Any ideas would be so appreciated!

Hi! I live in Syracuse and unfortunately there is only 1 support group for lap band that i know of. It is at the Institute for Human Performance On Monday evenings. I think the 2nd and 4th but am not sure. Then contact number is Michele at 315-427-2083. I have never gone. I work evening Monday evening. I'm trying to get a night off to check it out!! GOod luck
