I started the entire process back in August of 2008. I researched and found out my insurance didn't cover AT ALL. I work for very small company so that was to be expected. I didn't become serious until end of December 2008 when I spoke with my cousin about her surgery. She was shedding weight so fast I made up my mind to go for it. After my first consultation I knew this surgery was for me. My extra motivation was my upcoming wedding on 09/19/2009. After talking with my family I went ahead and schedule the date. My fiance (at the time) was very apprehensive as he was concerned about me going under anesthesia. I only lost 6 lbs on liquid diet. After week one I lost a total of 12 lbs. I was at a stand still for about 1 month. Each month after April I lost an avg of 3-4 lbs. All of a sudden during the month of August I lost 8 lbs which I attribute to stress of the wedding more than anything. Then I was flat lined again during the month of October. Then in November after my fill I lost 6 lbs in a week. I'm looking forward to more weight loss. My husband is excited about my new body however he is waiting for the day I say 'GO' at having another baby. Time is ticking so we will start August 2010. Good thing about it I will unfill and fill right back up!
