    Nintendo thinks I'm sexy!

Wow way to go thats so funny cause I have nintendo WII i got it a couple of days ago and I laugh evrytime I get weighed when it says obese I cant wait for it to say overweight as well! I just started my journey and I am 305 so it is going to be a little while for me for that but its funny that i want the same goal as you
  2. Wow I am so glad I found these post. My wife cant understand why I dont want to tell anyone about getting the lapband. I am still in the beginning stages of getting it done but I have made up my mind that this surgery is definetly for me its actually all I have been thinking about since I made up my mind 2 weeks ago after going to a seminar. The only people I have told are My wife, Mom, Dad, Suster and Brother and they are behind me 100% ohh And my Mother in Law and Father in Law. That is all I need to know right now, who knows maybe after a while I will tell people. I dont need to tell my boss as I own my own business but its funny most people make up excuses for there boss I am going to have to make an excuse to tell my workers as I am going to have to be out of work for atleast a week. I agree with alot of you that people think its just the easy way out like after you come out of surgery you are at your goal weight it is going to be alot of hard work and as everyone that is succesful will tell you its just a TOOL to help you its not a magic wand. I am also nervouse to tell people about it because what if I fail at weight loss with the lapband than you have to explain to everyone what went wrong and blah blah blah. I am so glad alot fo you are like me and want to keep it under wraps, it is a hard thing tot do because I am so excited to get it done so I can finally get my life back and I cant share it because I dont want anynegativity about it

New here and I am a Dude

I definetly hear that If my insurance did not cover it I think I would self pay as well. I feel the same way you do I dont want my kids to look at me when they are older and say I wish I had a dad that wasent fat and could keep up with me and play sports with me. My daughter was just born And I was thinking the other day that after I get this surgery and hopefully take off all this weight, she will never know that I was fat. She will look at pics of me holding her when she was first born when she gets older and say who is that fat guy holding me

New here and I am a Dude

Hey Man I hear you. I have thought about getting it done like a year ago but use to kid myself and say thats not for me I can do it on my own. I would even go as far as saying they probablly wont even let me get it done ( yea ok I am 305 and 5' 9", I am a heart attack waiting to happen) SO I finally came to the conclusion that I can lose weight but I cant keep it off so I know now that getting the band is the right choice for me. I am going for my consulation on Wenesday (Thank God my insurance covers the whole surgery as long as you meet the criteria and with a BMI over 40 and on BP meidcation and have sleep apnea I know I fit the bill.

Onederland is great but I can't wait til 2sday

Wow that is so funny I felt the sam exact way, it was when the scall read ove 300 when I said shit I have to do somthing, funny though for me I went from being like 290 than the next time i weighed myself like a month or two later is was 320 I cant even tell you how much i felt like a dissapointment to myself I swore I woudl never be 300 lbs and here I was 320 lbs very depressing. I am just starting this journey I have my consultation on Wednesday but I do know that my insirance covers the operation 100 percent so I am happy about that. I am also down in weight as well I am 305 lbs now so I fell a little beter about that but I know after alot of research that the lap band is definelty for me and cant wait to get it done hope it goes fast. I had a sleep study done last night so atleast that is one thing out of the way . I must say that the sleep study was the most uncomfortable night sleep I ever had in my entire Life what a F*&^in nightmare. I was so tired after leaving that I had to come home and go to sleep for like 3 hours. Well enough rambling from me I am new here and just wanted to share my experience thus far hope to make some friends on here you guys all seem like nice guys

    Hello New Here

Hello I am 31 years old and from Long Island New York, I have been overweight ever since high school and I am so done with it. Recently I have really been gaining alot of weight and have had some health issues as well. I am over 300 lbs somthing I thought I would never ever let myself get above. I have high blood pressure and am on medication, on medication at the age of 31 that is so sad. I also have sleep apnea and am going this week for a sleep study and am probablly going to have to be on a machine. I am happily married and have two kids one is 3 weeks old (Alexa) and my other is going to be 3 in May (Andrew) I am really scared that I will not be around for them. I went to a seminar about the band last week and today I made the final decision that this is going to be the answer for me to get my life back (as corny as that sounds). I called to make a appointment with a DR in My area (Dr. Vohra). they took all my onformation and I had to gove them a copy of my insurance, I hope that I hear back from them tommorrow with a appointment to meet with the Dr and get the ball rolling on this thing. Well I just wanted to say Hello to evryone and hope I am making the right decision about this
