Well, where do I start ? I have been overweight all my adult life, ever since I had my babies. Growing up, I wasn't but I always felt like I was ! I have a sister, who is and was my best friend, that was taller than I was and not really thinner but we were always being compared to each other and everyone said that I was the heavier one so that made me feel fat ! Even tho we wore the same cloths, I felt fat, so that's when I got it in my head I was fat. But any way, I have tried EVERY diet in the world to try to lose weight and keep it off, WW, Atkins, Egg diet, grapefruit, diet pills, Slimfast, if it was out there, I tried it !!  Nothing worked for very long and when I stopped dieting, I gained it all back plus more, a lot MORE ! As I have gotten older, the weight started giving me health problems, so I knew , in my body, that is was time to do something to help myself. If I didn't, I was not going to be able to work or enjoy my life, I was slowly turning into my DML, she was so overweight and lived a lonely sad life ! She didn't want to do anything or go anywhere but stay inside. I told my DH that I wanted to have the LB and at first he didn't want me to but in the end he told me to do what I wanted. Two of my kids are o.k. with it and the other 2 really haven't said anything about it. So I started this in Aug. 08, met the Dr. in Oct. 08, went on a 6 month diet ~ insurance ~ had my surgery April 6,09 and have NOT regretted having it done ! I feel like the LB has given me my life back !! I LOVE life now !! I am starting to get comments on my weight loss and that is really nice ! That just makes me want to try harder ! I know I still have a ways to go but I WILL get there and as I walk every step of this journey, I will enjoy every step !!
