    Feeling tired alot

Thanks for the replies everyone.....I got on the scale and I think I lost a couple of pounds not sure....it all depends on the scale I use. But I did add some oatmeal to my diet this morning and I have to tell I sure feel much better.....I felt so tired I didn't have energy for nothing. This sure is a person to person thing...meaning we are all so different in how we lose our weight. I often wonder if it came from the starving I did in my younger day...almost anorexic. Sure nice to share our experiences...thanks again rpm2010
  2. I was just wondering if any of you went through this after the LAP-BAND®. I was banded on June 17...I would think it would be enough time but maybe not I don't know. Also I was the one that posted the one about my calories being between 600-800 calories...more so closer to 800 mark. Would I still be feeling this way after a month. I'm exercising and getting my protein requirements and taking the bariactric vitamins to get all my vitamins in...just don't know what to think. I will contact my regular Dr and talk to him also. Any feedback appreciated:smile2: rpm2010
  3. I don't understand why some Dr's say like 1200 or 1500 calories and like my Dr told me between (or I should say the nut)600-800 and low carb and journal everything. I know writting everything down helps me alot...I just don't understand the difference in calorie count. I'm only 5 feet two and realize someone much taller would need more but there is some women on here getting more colories. I'm trying to keep mine under 800 or less with exercising helping me reach that goal. I've had one fill and had surgery on June17th. Any replies greatly appreciated rpm2010:unsure:
  4. Thanks everyone for your replies....guess I'll figure it out with my own body and yes I will talk to my family Dr as well rpm2010
  5. I was put on a 600-800 calorie diet. I was wondering how low to keep my carbs. The nut said no carbs which I find impossible. Will I still lose the weight? I only lost one pound in a month and got a scolding. So I have been journaling my intake of foods and trying to stay within my range. Do you get to deduct the calories from exercise? I'm about 3 and a half weeks out. My surgery date was June 17. Any replies will be greatly appreciated. One more question do you have to wait the whole 6 weeks before any core exercises? rpm2010

    About Carbs

Well for me I have to journal and count the calories, carbs and fats etc to see how many I am getting. They can creep up on you pretty quickly. To keep the carbs low it is mainly a lean meat and non-starchy vegetable. Read all the labels you will be surprised just how many their is in some foods:unsure: Good luck.....rpm2010

    About Carbs

Thanks for your replies.....I think yesterday my carbs was in the sixties somewhere. I'm only 5 feet two so I cant eat much anyway. Do you deduct the calories burned with exercise from your daily number of calories for the day?
  8. Is the only thing you can take is tylenol. It doesn't seem to work very well for me. Is it true that no ibuprophen? Ever? Any suggestions appreciated. My surgery date was June 17 rpm2010:unsure:

    Any June Bandsters???

Congradulations I'm the day after you the 17th...I have all those same feelings. I'm just a little concerned because I haven't followed the liquid diet perfectly. For sure the next three days I will..just hope it's not too late and they don't do it. Just letting anxiety get to me...taking deep breaths!!! rpm2010:ohmy:

    Any June Bandsters???

Congradulations on all the new bandsters. Mine is this Thursday and I'm a little anxious but at least I followed my liquid diet almost perfectly yesterday. I had some croutons in my broth and one olive....I guess I can live with that. Didn't do so good the first week but I didn't get crazy with a bunch of extra calories until Friday when I went out to eat(me and hubbby shared a dinner) and was pretty good then but I had this big cookie with icecream and some fried zucchini for the appetizer...oh well really going to do good this week...wishing you all well this week rpm2010:thumbup:
  11. Just wanted to know if anyone had any trouble with the surgery from not following pre-op diet, perfectly. I usually ate one meal and maybe some popcorn the first week along with the protein drinks (2) that I had some fruit in. I'm trying to stay on the all liquid this week but worried I really messed up and they won't do the surgery..I know I'm a wimp but just worried:scared2: rpm2010
  12. I have went through the same things myself. Hubby had it and then I tried to fellow it also. Writting down everything I ate...high protein and low carbs and keeping calories down but I'm having surgery next week also and all last week I had a really hard time. It's like i had a meal a day and then would drink a shake or make a salad or something. don't necessarily thing I went over on calories or anything except for yesterday(Last supper) and I'm a little concerned myself. I think I'm the day after you....I wish us both well with no problems Arizonagirl2010

Thanks everyone for your relplies...I really appreciate it. I'll check with my surgeon tomorrow and see what he has to say...probably not going to be too happy since I have not been following my liquid diet as good as I should have. rpm2010:scared2:

    Any June Bandsters???

Thanks you reply Carol....I didn't even think about the lozenge could be a choking problem...good point though. How are you doing on the liquid diet....it's been pretty difficult for me. I cant even imagine three weeks on the liquid diet...I feel for you. I'll be checking in on you two to see how your doing. I will post mine too. Good Luck and you both sound so positive I know you will do great. Rrm2010:thumbup:

    Any June Bandsters???

my date is set for June 17th. I'm every emotion you can think of. I don't smoke but I use those lozenges..does anyone know if that is okay? I sure hope so. I can't imagine this liquid diet and no lozenge either. good luck everyone..... rpm2010
  19. I was wondering if anyone was taking any patches, gum, or lozenges before and during the surgery. I am on the #2 lozenge (not the strongest) and I take about 5 a day. I'm just wondering if it would cause problems with my surgery. Any response would be appreciated. I'm already on the two week clear liquid diet and doing pretty good except maybe a couple olives and a small yogurt yesterday. I'im on day three... thank you... rpm2010:scared2:
