  1. I had surgery on Friday and went back to work the following Wednesday full time with NO problems. I do work an office job though. You'll know - listen to your body.
  2. You look amazing. Great job.

  3. Hi guys. I was banded on 2/13 and I have lost 18 pds so far. I have felt NO restriction for 2 weeks. But I am trying to maintain small portions and eat according to the plan. I get my first fill on 3/27 which I can't wait. I hope that I feel some restriction then. Great work everyone. Let's keep each other posted on our progress. Karen
  4. Welcome. You have a beautiful family. I was banded on 2/13 and already my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Good luck and if you are looking for a buddy - I will be here. Karen
  5. Saw your new picture. You look great. Congrats. I can't wait to see a size 12.

  6. Hi Everyone. I have a question about fills and calorie consumption. I have read many posts where people say that their weight loss became greater and steadier once they find their sweet spot. My question is - is this the case because you are taking in less calories and less food? Because I have also heard that most people try to keep their calories between 800-1200 calories and that if you go too low on your calories it will slow your weight loss down as well. Hopefully I am clear enough with my question. I am due for my first fill in 2 weeks. Just curious about restriction and calories consumed.
  7. Hi. Your story is so inspirational. Looks like a few people have already asked for your support, but I would love to join them. I sent you a private message. I am 36, married with 2 kids and also live in MD. I was banded on2/13/09 and have lost 14 pds so far. My starting weight was 225 pds, 5'3" tall. You look great and I would love to hear from you. My email is ksiebert@gmtp.net Thanks - Karen

    Newly banded - 2/13/09

Doing great so far. To date, I have lost 16 pounds. I do feel as if my portions are bigger than they should be, but I am being very good about my food choices. Looking forward to my first fill and am starting to exercise this week. How about you? Karen
  9. Hi Everyone. I was banded on 2/13/09 in Fairfax, VA. I went to www.ALAGSA.com. My doctor was Dr. Eleariny. I live in Southern Maryland. I am 37 years old, married with 2 children. I want to be healthy and to be able to enjoy my children and someday - grandchildren. My starting weight was 226pds. My current goal weight is 160pds. Looking forward to meeting new friends for support throughout my process. Thanks - Karen
  10. Hi. Looks like you have quite a fan base here. GREAT work, for sure. I was banded on 2/13 and lost 12 pds the first week and have lost 2 pds the second, but I guess now that my stomach swelling has gone down. I feel very little restriction for quantity of food. I have to chew well and eat slowly but to fill me up and keep me full I can eat considerably more than a few onces like they recommend. For instance, for lunch today - I ate about 8 ounces of chopped kale. I am not overly full. If you remember, can you tell me a little bit about the beginning of your journey? Did you experience this before your first fill? Should I only eat a few ounces and deal with my stomach grumbling? Any advice you could lend would be great. I so want to be successful. Also could you tell me when and what you did for exercise? Thanks so much and way to go! Karen
