i was banded on the 19th. Since i started the liquid pre-op diet, i have lost 30lbs........stuck at this stupid number though! ready for a fill---4/29.

I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! I got banded on the 19th and was told that i was hungry because my stomach isnt swollen and after the first fill I should feel more restricted. Hopefully thats what will happen. i am also able to eat more than 3/4c of food....I dont know what to tell you but I thought it might help you to know that someone else was in your shoes! -

OK, i was banded on march 19th. I was doing really good with the post op liquids....UNTIL---my first puree'd meal. they say I should be able to eat about 3/4 c of food....and i am finding myself eating well over 1/5c and hungry 2 hours later. CAN SOMEONE HELP?? First fill isnt until end of april. -
I was banded on the 19th and same thing was happening to me--------the gas pains were there totally....then I realized I was just really getting hungry. So you should be able to eat something and by the end of the day the pains should be gone.

Yeah I cheated lol, I felt bad after tho but oh well, and because my surgery is the 31st it would have meant that I'd have to be on the shakes/preop for a complete month so straight after they said I wasn't having the surgery I went to maccas lol, I ate that day and the next day and then started the shakes again but omg had the worst reflux ever cuz I was just eating crap but oh well, so 3 weeks without food? When do you start on the puree stage?

omg you cheated!! lol, bad girl! i didnt cheat at all...so its been exactly 3 weeks since any kind of solid food in my stomach....and i have gotten used to it! weird huh? I had surgery on thursday and it gone okay. I have some horrible bruising....but it will be worth it. Very sore and uncomfortable but not in a lot of pain. btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
