    Queen Bee's Musings

Today is February 20, 2009. In less than a month I will start a new chapter of my life. I am having lapband surgery on March 18th. This process started in April of 2008. It has been a long and sometimes exasperating ten months. I wanted to give up and just deal with the diabetes and the fat, more than once. Finally all the paper work was done and it was faxed to the Insurance Company. I was prepared for a 45 day wait. I figured they would drag it out as long as possible. I was really wrong about that. My Dr.'s office got the approval in two days. Thank you Amerchoice! I am keeping this blog to journal my weight loss. I don't want to forget about anything especially answered prayer. The Lord has seen me thru some rough times and has brought me to this point. Thank You, Lord.

    Hi

Introductions are hard on the internet. No eye contact or body language. I will do my best to describe myself to everyone. I have always had a weight problem ( I am sure most of us are in that boat). Some years I would actually loose enough to feel good about myself and then I would gain it back again. I gave up trying about seven years ago. It just seemed like too much trouble. My back started to bother me alot and then I began to suffer from incontinence. The last straw was being diagnosed with diabetes. I am not a spring chicken and didn't want to spend the rest of my life sick. So, I started the process a year ago. My surgery is March 18th. I will not go on another diet but rather start a new lifestyle.
