Hi Guys! I know - I've been missing in action. My job has been sooooo busy. I'm in Okla. City this week, back in KC next week and St. Louis the week after that. I have lost another 1.2 lbs but I have been so bad in OKC. Tomorrow is a new day tho and I get to try again. Living in a hotel is hard. Do you hear the whine? Later-Katt

I still don't understand it but it is the WORST PB episode I have ever had! Not to mention disgusting. And to top everything off this week I have been extremely careful about what I ate, actually managed to exercise and I gain .8 lbs. I am never weighing on those scales again. Katt

Lisa, Sadly I said nothing. I pretended my cell phone vibrated and left the table. I spent most of lunch time away from the table. Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to go to the bathroom. I went outside. Slimed the worst ever in a flower pot. I was so embarrassed. There must have been a gallon of slime before the PB. I kept thinking about what the poor person who cleans flower pots was going to think. Arghhh. I've been much more careful. Beware of Egg Drop Soup. Katt

BJean you always say things so well. Katt -
BJean I understand. Been there, done that. Still do sometimes. But I was watching something on TV (can't remember what) but it was about people who had successfully lost large amounts of weight and kept it off. The thing they all had in common was a change in attitude. I have felt it. It is so amazing. I'm not saying everything will be perfect now. But I feel differently about how I eat. And as for the stage fright, WOW. That must be what happened. I was at a business lunch and right after the egg drop soup, I got stuck. Soooo embarrassing not to mention painful. Egg drop soup. Go figure. Katt

In my effort to become more active on this board and quit lurking, I'm going to do something I typically don't do and dive right in. I have one child that I love desperately, although I really don't much care for children. My DD, on the other hand, had 6 and she and my SIL are trying to adopt another whole family. I realize that compared to 17, six is not very many but for me it's a bunch. They are very fundamentalist and she does home school. They are beautiful, bright, healthy, happy, well-adjusted kids. Oldest is 17. Youngest 5. Incredible family if I do say so myself. My DD is an RN although she is no longer employed outside the home. My SIL earns $12.00/hr max. They live in a 1600 sq. ft. house. They live hand to mouth but require no public assistance. I both love and admire them. Katt -
I have lost 25% of my goal. I started fast, tapered off, then quit and headed the other direction for a while. It is not the fault of the band. It's all mine. I discovered all the things that would go down easy and ate them...for a while. I'm back with an attitude adjustment. I have never felt so strong. I can do this. Katt

Let me tell you about my DD. She is 37, a registered nurse, stay at home full time Mom. My son-in-law is a kind, gentle man. The are raising 6 wonderful, beautiful, healthy, happy, well-adjusted (IMHO with only a little bias) children. They home school. My oldest granddaughter graduated from highschool last year (a full year early) and will begin college this Aug. The state they live in will not allow them to foster parent because they home school. How ridiculous is this? PERHAPS one of the reasons they are so healthy is due to home schooling? Our public school system hasn't done such a good job. Katt -
Karey sure i'll join. I weigh in on Wednesdays. weighed 278 last wednesday and i was down 3.2 lbs. Katt

BOH I live in Talala, Oklahoma on week-ends and Kansas City during the week. I drive back and forth thru Coffeyville. This week-end was the first in 3 weeks that we haven't been detoured around Coffeyville. It was awful. The water hasn't reached our house in Talala but my DD and her 6 kids live in Bartlesville (which has flooded off and on for the past 2 weeks) and they have been stranded several times. Thank the Lord they live on high ground and the water hasn't reached them. I am very sympathetic however and also stir crazy from rain. Additionally we have 5 dogs. Also not on purpose. My sinuses are on constant drip. My eyes itch, burn, and water continuously. There are muddy paw prints everywhere and my hair is permanently frizzed. The grass is up to my waist and we have 1 1/4 acres. We live in the area of Okla they call Green Country and the weather said yesterday it has rained here every day for the past 36 days. Arghhh. I love Okla but I never wanted to live in the tropics. Katt
