Hi Every1, I am now 11 wks post op I haven't been on since i was banded on th 1st Sep 09. I have been for my 2nd fill today which is now 3.5cc. I am 2 stone lighter and can totally tell the difference in myself and so have others. I am really happy with my band and everythin went like clockwork as u all told me it would in Belguim. I am so glad I have done it and I am now looking forward to a slimmer and happier me... I just want to thank every1 for all their support and answerin all my questions I had in the build up to the op.. SJS x

Hi Everyone, I have a couple of questions that I need help with. How long did you wait before you started exercise after your op? and In the hospital we were given Dutch crispbakes as Dr Chris says i quote " they turn to liquid in your mouth". Can I have these 1 week post op in the liquid phase or are they part on the mushies phase. Also Dr chris says to stay on liquids for 10days but in my aftercare package with WLS it says liquids for 3wks. What have you done? Thanks SJS x Banded 1st Sep

Hi Starksy, I got banded a week ago and the weather was really hot so make sure you take some light clothing. Also I would advise you to take some insect repellant because I got bitten to death whilst in the hospital. It got so warm during the night I asked for the window to be left open and when my partner come the next day he said I was covered in spots. I soon realised they were bites!!! They were so itchy lol. Good luck you will be fine I am 1 week post op today!! I have lost 12lbs in this week. I am still a bit tender but I am able to do daily chores and I am returning back to work next week. Hi every1,:biggrin: Gt bak this mornin I am nw officially BANDED n I feel great. I no wat u mean by the cripplin wind nw and them wind tablets arent doin a thing I've been on all 4s literally while my partner pats my bak lol nt a pretty site!!!! Everythin went like clockwork whilst in Belguim just lookin forward 2 seein the results!! I lost 6lbs on the pre op diet and lost another 6lbs whilst bein in the hospital, however I think that was mainly fluid!! bt nether the less its 12lbs!!!! lol Thanks SJS x Banded 1st Sep

Hi Beeboo, Thanks for the advice I'll ask my dr about them when i come back I think... It's the second week of my pre-op diet. I havent weighed myself as I tend to become addicted to weighing myself once I see some progress. I am going to wait till after my surgery now!! Well I fly out a week today and I cant wait!!!! I've read SP's list and that has helped loads. So thankyou SP!!!!!! I'm itching to start packing my case, but I'm going camping with my family on Thurs and come home Sat so I'll have all Sun to do it. Then I fly out on Mon. EXACTLY 6 DAYS NOW!!!!! Hi everyone, Freckles: the nursery looks beautiful it really does look amazin you must be so proud. Good luck with the new arrival. hope everythin goes well for your family. I was wondering what multi vitamins every1 takes as the only good ones I can find is from holland and barrat and there massive. They also smell really bad and i dont fancy crushin them. Hi Shellangel, Thanks for the advice, it's good to listen to people who have experienced it before. I am being banded on 1st sep (12 days YIPEEE!!!:biggrin:) as u can tel I've started the count down. I'm so lookin 4ward to gettin the surgery. I'm soo desperate to lose weight and after trying every diet goin and gettin larger and larger over the years I'm positive this is right for me. Thank you every1 for all your help its nice speakin to people who have experienced this before as I am really nervous as i have never had an operation before and dont really no wat 2 expect. Hi Jackie, I no it sound daft bt i was plannin on takin a flask of bovril as i luv this the most and stickin to ice water at th reception. I feel guilty if i dont go as it's a close friend and nobody knows apart from my partner and mam that im havin the surgery. I'm plannin on tellin my freinds after the weddin bt dont want them 2 worry as they al hav so much 2 worry about at th min!!! As for th questions i'll gt asked when i wip my flask out and they see i'm nt eatin n drinkin alcohol. I suppose I'll hav to tell a few white lies and say i'm feelin a little under th weather.... The weddin is at 12.30 and its about an hours drive from where I live so I'm just gonna take it easy and hope to stay as long as i can bt i'm nt goin to be stupid. Hi Every1:thumbup:, Carriejess: thanks 4 th tips!! Seen on th other threads that post op u hav 2 inject yourself after th op to prevent blod clottin. Can any1 tel me any info about this??? I am wantin 2 no wat it is and do i av 2 sort this out myself wen i gt bak home after surgery. Also, I am havin op on th tues and i am supposed 2 b at a weddin on th sun. Do u think i will be up 2 this or is it 2 much to soon do u think??? How long has it took every1 else 2 recover I no every1 is different bt i hav a tendency nt 2 fully lt my self recover and like 2 b kept busy. I no i am gonna hav to take it easy!! bye 4 nw SJS x

Hi everyone, been readin all th threads I'm booked in with Dr CDB for the 1st Sep , 13 days nw nt countin or anythin like! LOL. I've been on here previously bt nw I have started the pre-op diet I need some help with suggestions on what to have. By low fat does that mean calorie counting or just low fat?? Also was just wondering if there is anyone else booked in 4 surgery on th same day as me??? thanks SJS x

Hi every1, My name is Sarah I've been reading and researching banding surgery now for over a yr. I have read all the information about Dr CDB and have decided that he's goin to be the one for me. I'm booked in for surgery on 1/9/09 and cant wait!!!! However I have never had surgery before and I'm really scared as I dont no what to expect, but after reading all ur comments I feel a little reasured. I was reading the infomation about the 10 injection you need to have to stop blood clotting? does anyone have more information about this PLZ! such as what is the injection? when do I inject myself? what do i need to do when back in the UK do i need to go do my GP for it etc!! Also if anyone has any general information of what happens pre and post op it would be much appreiciated I'm so scared but no it is the right choice for me. I'm 23 and weigh 17st 10lbs and I have been obese for most of my life I have decided to take these next steps to help me in my journey of becoming a more confident, happier and hopefully healthier Sarah:wink2: Thanks Sarah x
