Bs of california is better..i work for anthem bcbs so i know what i am talking about.. From what i know aetna has alot of "red tape" before they approve bariatric surgery..

good morning i get a fill on 3.24.09 and i currently have 6.5 cc in a 10 cc band...I havent reached my sweet spot..I feel hungry at times so i drink alot of water or crystal light... sometimes i eat some portions of nuts..fruits...etc between my meals...they probably dont want me doing this but I have to keep something in my system otherwise i get light headed..Have a good day! -
Good Morning I get my adjustments under xray..I think its really good because it prevents them from hitting the wrong spot and damaging the band.. It cost me $15 coinsurance on top of my office visit copay of $20.. Have a good day!

good morning tubby I know its hard but this is a life changing tool..not diet..I would suggest that you attend seminars about the lap band because people assume automatically having the surgery will make u lose weight...following the meal plan drinking Water getting adjustments exersizing and taking your Vitamins will change your body but again it takes alot of EFFORT.. myself and thousands of ppl are in or were in the same boat as you..Good luck to you!! -
When I got banded I went back to work within 5 days..I took some extra days off to make sure i wouldnt have any problems

I drink coffee every morning.. I go to starbucks,get a medium coffee with 3 splendas half and half with vanilla syrup.. I know it sounds bad but its only 70 calories for 16oz.... I drink alot of crystal light too -
hello there.. I would speak to your doctor about the hair loss because that sounds strange..i have had the lap band for some time now..i have hair breakage and thats because I use alot of hair styling products like hairspray...Maybe its the weather..sometimes when seasons change hair shreds? maybe try www.webmd.com or wikipedia.org and key word search hair loss..maybe its ur body adjusting to the changes ur making..Hope this helps..God Bless.!

There are people around me that are telling me they would have never had the surgery-I dont care about what they think because I made a serious life change-I have to get my weight down because my doctor's office told me (once i got my blood work back) that I could be potentially diabetic in 5-10 years..and my cholesterol is 233--I was told it should be under 200..so I am risk for artery/heart disease..I am 29 years old with a 2 year old baby..I want to get healthier and live long enough to raise my child..Its terrible to think that she would be grieving over me because of the food choices Ive made all these years..But I am on the right track..I am losing weight and I feel better..Now I have to work on quitting smoking..but one thing at a time!! Keep the faith everyone!!!

:thumbup::thumbup::ohmy: I went over the weekend to some stores in search of spring clothing until I reach my goal weight I wanted to refresh my wardrobe..I hate these plus size clothing anymore..Its more incentive for me to stay on the right path... Fashion Bug Gitano jeans dont feel right..they are huge in the thigh area...I carry most of my weight in my stomach.. Marshalls Have brands I never heard of and they have apple bottoms jeans that look terrible TJ Maxx nevermind.... The Galleria @ Crystal Run Middletown NY All of the clothing stores..aeropostale..gap..hollister..aerie and others dont carry plus size... I hate walking in the food court and the chinese place is handing out samples..ugh...sorry I had to vent!!!!

I literally called my insurance every other day til they said I was approved..I have anthem bcbs ...they were fast..only took 7 business days..once i got approved and the surgeon gave me a surgery date..i had a last meal so to speak..bagels..carbs LMAO -
Cool beans..I hope that u feel better soon.the tough part is the phase one diet and healing process..it gets better..my problem now is the hunger..i need an adjustment and my office visit is 3.24.09..I have to wait til then LOL

Awwww..good for you!! Yeah when I was banded in was in alot of pain and they gave me PROTONIX to take..they also told me to drink fluids for 2 weeks so that way my band can heal up ...I remember it like it happened yesterday LOL
