    Didn't get a fill!!

Congratulations Jessica! I am glad that you got good news today, keep at it girl!
  4. That is a great idea for the newbies Jim1967. When I was banded in 2009, I started a journal and kept it up for almsot two years. I ran across them (I have several books) recently and was amazed at where my head was then compared to where I am today (I think!). I am glad that I have a written timeline to see just how far I have come, yet I know that I am still not finished. Maybe I will take my journaling up again. Thanks for the reminder!

I agree with lellow, do whatever your body tells you it can do. Just don't "over-do". Best wishes!

    Chinese Food

I would L-O-V-E some Chinese food, however, I am trying my hardest to stay away from carbs, and the few times I have had rice, it did not agree with me. Good luck, just take it easy to see what you are able to tolerate with the band!

    Roasted Chickpeas

Oh, sorry, forgot to ask, how did you season them, with salt and pepper?

    Roasted Chickpeas

Interesting. Have a can in the pantry now, think this would be a great way to fix them. Thanks for sharing!

    The port...

No, never had any problems sleeping on that side or my stomach. You will be fine!

    Awesome NSV

Well now, what a fabulous thing to hear! Makes all this work worthwhile!

    BANDED TODAY!!!

Congratulations new bandster!! You could very well be experiencing gas pains. Walk, walk, walk and walk some more. It could be from the position they had you in on the operating table, that has happened to me. However, should the pain continue, or get worse, as always, call your surgeons office for their advice.

    Any women have this happen?

Good luck......with everything! Please do call your GYN and see when they can see you.

    VERY itchy

While I have not had lipo (yet anyway!), you may be having a reaction to the pain meds, or whatever they used for the lipo process itself.....this can happen even when you have had prior surgeries (side effects with the meds). If it persists, or gets worse, call your doctor/office and see what they advise. Good luck, with the itching AND recovery!
  15. You do look amazing! Don't you just feel like a totally new person? Congratulations!

    I LOVE Peanut Butter

Girl, love, love, love me some peanut butter too! Think I may need to check out that PB2, that would be great in my protein smoothie. Yum!

    PISSED nothing but sliders

Brianna, Glad you are doing better today, it's all about trial and error with these things! Want you to know though that I truly laughed out loud when I read, "like throwing up a jelly fish", in fact I am still laughing! Think what is the most funny is that you are soooo accurate on that description! Have a great day! Ann
  18. Wow, you really do look amazing and you are right, what a difference a year can make! Congratulations on your success, stay motivated, on track and look forward to seeing mre fabulous updates from you!

    Keeping my Secret

I agree with what everyone has said, however, it is up to you how comforatble you are about people knowing, now or ever. I personally told only a handful of people I was getting my band, the rest I told I was was my hernia repaired. You do what is comfortable to YOU! Congratulations on the start of a new way of life and wish you a speedy recover!

    Calculate calories burned......

Thanks for the info, had not thought of getting a heart rate monitor! I did find a calculator and got some good estimates of calories burned, but I think that the heart rate monitor would give me closer calculations for me to track. Thanks again!

    pre-surgery nerves

What an amazing journey you are about to embark on! Stay focused, do what you know you should and you will be successful. It will take some trial and error, but it is oh-so-worth-it! Let us know how you do and best of luck!
  22. I have just seen this thread, hope you are back on track and doing well!
  23. Letty, he will not be disappointed in you! Don't give that a second thought, call him and make an appointment, you need to go. I too fell off the wagon and regained some of my weight. Finally went back to the doctor, started following the rules again and am having success....again. You can do this!
  24. Yes, I lost very quickly in the beginning and then slowed down. Just keep doing the right things and you will have continued success. Just remember that this is a journey and a new way of life, not a quick fix. Good luck fellow bandster!
