It's great to hear from you Drews! I knew it would be a success, but just wanted to hear that directly from the source. YEAH, you have restriction. You may have to give up those english muffins. Let you DH pamper you and milk it for all it's worth. Guys only do that for so long. Marci ~ Holy cow, 5 inches!!! WOW!! Go on with your sexy self. :biggrin1:
  3. Oh PLEASE!! Talk about a thick skull. Are you seriously comparing Bush to Hitler? You are treading the line of treason in my book if you are serious. It's no wonder Saddam was a priority when Bush took office because he had to finish what Bill Clinton didn't have the balls to do. We had Saddam and could have SAVED many lives had Clinton followed through with his job and responsibility. Transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike CLINTON: Good evening. Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors. Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world. Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons. I want to explain why I have decided, with the unanimous recommendation of my national security team, to use force in Iraq; why we have acted now; and what we aim to accomplish. Six weeks ago, Saddam Hussein announced that he would no longer cooperate with the United Nations weapons inspectors called UNSCOM. They are highly professional experts from dozens of countries. Their job is to oversee the elimination of Iraq's capability to retain, create and use weapons of mass destruction, and to verify that Iraq does not attempt to rebuild that capability. http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1998/12/16/transcripts/clinton.html This transcript goes on and on so I'm not going to fill LBT with Clinton's failure. You can read the entire thing using the link. I certainly don't agree with all that Bush or any president has done for that matter. One thing I will NOT do though is claim that Iraq WILL fail when we have the lives of our precious brave Americans fighting over there. There has been an election in Iraq. That in itself is victory. Even if it all ended today, the people voted and Saddam is not in power. The lost lives do sit heavy on my heart. I wished we could change that part of war. Unfortunately, that is not the reality. I am so proud to be an American. Even when I couldn't stand the sound of Clinton's voice, I still respected him as the leader of our country and would never sink to the level of comparing him with Hitler. It's really sad to read so many personal attacks on our President and his family. The comic relief is fun, but some of you people are way too serious and angry. Bush deserves some respect for just being the President.
  4. Someone that hates Bush brought up the Kennedy "name". Not to mention, it verifies my previous statement that many said similar things about Reagan. Perhaps it hit a nerve that "Teddy" is eager to lie in bed with the enemy to promote his own agenda? Bush is far from perfect as is ANY politician. To me, it's usually a matter of who comes the CLOSEST to my personal beliefs and often the lesser of two evils. In addition, a pancake has two sides no matter how flat you make it. Can you REALLY expect to have a Bush bash and not hear about Clinton or Kennedy? Spare me the whine.
  5. Did someone say Kennedy? 2006-10-28 Blogger News Network and raquo; Sen. Ted Kennedy cooperated with the KGB, Soviet leaders to undermine Reagan Let me cut to the chase. In , Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) directed friend and fellow Senator John Tunney to meet with the Soviet KGBwith a tantalizing message. Tunney was to tell the KGB to alert Soviet Communist Party General Secretary Yuri Andropov that Kennedy believed then President Ronald Reaganwas athreat, possibly amilitary one, to the SovietUnion. Because of his worry over Reagans intentions, he offered to Andropov, through Tunney, to coordinate American media with the aim of undermining President Reagan with the electorate. In short, an American Senator collaborated with our arch foe in the Cold War to undermine a sitting President. www.bloggernews.net Blogger News Network - Blogger News Network provides high-quality English language reporting, analysis and editorial writing on the news of the day.
  6. Sounds like anger and hatred to me. If it doesn't apply to you, ignore it. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Hi Kim. :biggrin1: Glad to hear your doing so well and enjoying your "sweet spot" and WTG on your NSV's!! Your awesome!! I bet you have a lot more spring in your step these days. We will have to try those chicken tenderloins at Cracker Barrel. 3Loves sends her love. She is now down 39 lbs. Slowly but surely. She is thinking of scheduling another fill before the holidays. She's only had one and it was 2.5 cc's. Gosh, where are your DREWS? Would love to hear from you.
  8. I'm with you too Missy...well said.
  9. Huh? I think this is the root of all elections, not just electing Republicans. Juicy thread to say the least. I feel the anger hitting the keyboard as I type.
  10. I'm thankful all this anger and hatred is directed toward Bush....he's a big man and he can take it. Many said the same things of Ronald Reagan. People do need an outlet to get rid of the nastiness. I could care less what anyone says. I voted for Bush, I would vote for Bush again, and I'm proud he is our PRESIDENT. As for the Dixie Chicks...I wonder why they can't sell tickets. Hmmm, maybe if they go to another country they could. Wait, they already did.
  11. You are cracking me up. Now, tell me, does it help with the hair loss?

Please Pray For Father Chuck Who Died...

I grew up in Dayton and attended Chamindade-Julienne. Although I didn't know Father Chuck personally, I did know of him. This is truly sad. What makes this even sadder is the report put out by WHIOTV.com (the local Dayton station). Here's the link: http://www.whiotv.com/newsarchive/10212161/detail.html. This is like adding salt to the wound whether it's true or not. OSP: Priest Intoxicated When He Crashed POSTED: 2:50 pm EST November 1, 2006 UPDATED: 9:06 am EST November 2, 2006 HAMILTON, Ohio -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate a fatal accident that claimed the life of a local priest. The accident happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday on northbound Interstate 75 near Route 129 in Butler County. Troopers said the investigation has revealed that the Rev. Charles Mentrup, 47, of Middletown, was intoxicated and had a blood-alcohol level that was three times Ohio’s legal driving limit. Investigators said the Butler County Coroner’s Office found a tax receipt from the Argosy Casino among Mentrup’s personal items. The tax receipt was stamped at 1:47 a.m. Oct. 31. Troopers said Mentrup lost control of his vehicle, slid off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned and then was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Mentrup was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Mentrup was pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Franklin; however, he has several ties to the Miami Valley, including Alter High School. "Father Chuck," as he was known, came to Alter High School in 1988 as a teacher. He then became athletic director until 1993. Mentrup was also the associate pastor of Incarnation Church in Centerville, but most recently, he was pastor of St. Mary’s in Franklin. May he rest in peace and may those hurting over this terrible lose, find peace in their heart that they will one day see him again. God Bless.
  16. Barbara ~ Glad you liked the gifts. There was also a green scarecrow thing in one of the bags in addition to a Halloween card. Maybe men should let their wives open the packages. :girl_hug: My wife tore into a box from my sister just today. It was filled with homemade blankets for the kids and stuff to make candy apples. We love to get packages. :biggrin1: BTW, my wife told me I should have mentioned the massager thing is called the "tingler" and here's the website link: http://www.everythingforlove.com/Public/TheTingler/index.cfm It's made of copper and it acts as a conductor with your hair. Of course, it doesn't work so well on me since I don't have much on top. :phanvan Have you used it yet? My wife swears by it.

    Let's talk Halloween!

We love Halloween and fall is our favorite time of the year. We are making the boys costumes as we usually do and taking them trick-or-treating. Last year, our youngest refused to go up to the doors so his big brother asked for candy for him and put it in his pumpkin at the sidewalk. You never know what your going to get with kids. Need some ideas for costumes this year. We're kind of behind the 8-ball. Any suggestions? Here's some pics from years past.

A BIG hello and hugs to you Diane. You are in our prayers.
  19. A HUGE Thank You to j.s. !! My gift arrived a few days ago and we had so much fun opening the package. I say "WE" b/c my boys were there to help. Loved all the spiders in the mix and the Fear Factor eyeballs/candy were too funny. Thank you again for such a special surprise. You outdid (is that the correct spelling...oh well, you know what I mean) yourself for sure. A pic is below. I forgot to put the "ghostly" light-up ink pen in the pic, but it is being used often. My ghostly gift will be going south this week. I have all the items. Things have just been crazy around here b/c of FIL's emergency surgery (posted on May thread). Should be in the mail before Friday.

Hello to all our May friends!! Boy, it's been awhile and have all been missed. On Oct 5th, 3Loves daddy (65 yrs old) had emergency surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm the size of a football. The surgeon gave him a 25% chance of surviving the surgery. The aneurysm had dissected as well. We took off from IN as they were taking him into surgery in OH. We got the call that he had made it thru surgery & arrived at the hospital in time to be one of the first ones to see him in ICU. The ER quickly and accurately diagnosed him and paged the heart doctor which happened to still be in the parking lot. His surgery crew was still in the hospital b/c they had taken a late case (another heart surgery) and there were finishing up. It was a miracle that they were able to rush him into surgery and didn't have to wait on anyone to get to the hospital. He had been bleeding out since 2PM that day and wasn't going to last much longer with a dissecting aneurysm. He had a breathing tube until Sun the 8th as the first attempt to remove it was unsuccessful. He came home on Tues the 10th without ANY pain meds. They said there is only 1 surgery bigger than this one (I assume it's open heart) and that he was very lucky to recover so quickly. To us it shows the power of prayer. The entire family was together and threeloves stayed in the hospital with her mother only to leave to take showers. The ICU dept offered them a special room where they had the pull out beds. I finally brought her back home to IN this past Sun night as she stayed to help her mother with her dad's recovery. She didn't want to leave her parents. We are so thankful he is still with us and realize how close we came to losing such a wonderful man. Threeloves has been a daddy's girl all her life and this hit her particularly hard. She was disappointed that she didn't lose weight though after all the walks in the long hospital halls not to mention she didn't eat much during that time. So, that's what has been going on here. I'll make another post to individuals since this one has gotten so long. BTW, your prayers would be so much appreciated for his continued recovery.
  22. MarcyD ~ Hang in there and take one day at a time! Gosh, you do have a lot on your plate. You will be in our prayers! LindaV ~ Something tells me you deserved to feel that way a long time ago. I hope you never come down from your high. Maybe you should hold that event once a month and come back to share your excitement...it's contagious. It also makes you appreciate the wonderful place we have in LBT. I think butter shots are butterscotch schnapps. Is that right?

How about that Tony Stewart? Running out of gas and STILL winning the race!! I will have to call my MIL and rub it in.
  24. What? Maybe I don't understand what your saying. It is sad to think people in general, let alone young people, could or should take illegal drugs without facing the consequences. There is a reason the body responds with an euphoric feeling and a reason people turn to drugs in the first place...it's the feeling from the drugs not the drugs. EVERY 20 yr old and EVERY person are important & special enough to find alternatives to facing the problems that lead them to take the drugs in the first place. Each one has loved ones that care about them and care about what they do to their bodies. Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding what your saying. If you truly think that the right to party equals taking illegal drugs without physical, not to mention mental, consequences, well, I don't know how else to put this, but that is truly sad. :cry
