Has ANYONE had any contact with Diane? Would love to hear an update. Still sending prayers upstairs. Do you need me to come and cook Easter dinner? Take care my friend.

:welcomeB: Welcome to LBT Judi!! KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. Do lots of research and make sure the band if for you. There are a lot of rules to follow, but it's worth it. My DW had surgery last May and I intend to do so when we get insurance. I hope you find this a warm and inviting place.
-
I second what Bevers said. That is where my DW had her surgery with Dr. Evanson. She just had her 2nd fill on Monday. Here's his website....you may want to call him as well. Good Luck!! http://www.meridiansurgicalgroup.net/home.htm

Allow myself to re-introduce myself
paladin replied to SillyWillyMommy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
:welcome2: Hi SillyWilly ~ Welcome to LBT! So sorry you didn't get a response the first time around. :phanvan I'm sure you will find this to be a great cyber home and you will find a wealth of support and info here. Don't be afraid to ask questions even if they've been asked a million times b4. There are many threads to search, but every individual is different and may have a different view on a topic. You are right, the Lord was answering your prayers without you even knowing it at the time by finding your heart condition. Keep going through the tests and pray about it. The Lord will lead you down the perfect path at the perfect time. My DW had LB surgery last May and needed extra cardio tests b/c of an arrhythmia only discovered as a results of pre-testing. She did fine at surgery and I'm sure you will too when the time comes. I hope to get the band myself after a job change and we secure insurance. Hopefully, the company will cover the band. My DW says it's the best thing she's ever done. Hang in there and keep us posted!! :success1: -
Great pic Drews. :clap2: Is that other gal your sister? Gosh, she sure could be family as far as I'm concerned. Myra ~ Enjoy that fan....I'm sure that will be one of your favorite features. It sure sounds like you got the "Cadillac" version. No problems to report on the fill. For the first time, 3L says she gets that full feeling very quickly. I think this fill was way past due. Kim ~ Your melting....your melting!! You motivate me more than you'll ever know. We're all hitting the water today b/c of you. Even the kids. They've been sick with ear infections. Not a fun time for the wifey. Water is under-rated, especially when your sick. For the most part, our kids drink water or milk with the occasional pop when eating out. Keep on keeping on!!

I need your support... Please say a prayer for me :)
paladin replied to Desiree1970's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Desiree ~ Prayers have been sent up for you. I'm sure your recovering by now with a smile on your face. -
YEAH Myra!! Gardening is a great workout. Did you get the elliptical yet? Drews ~ Where's the derby pics? Have I missed them on another thread? Fill happened today. Can you believe the fill is now at 3cc's?? Holy Cow!! So far so good. 3Loves now knows what it's like to have REAL restriction. Hope to report new numbers soon. :nervous BTW, welcome back from vacation Linda. Hope you had a great time. :whoo:

Prayers are sent up for all the friends & loved ones of this dear man in their grief. What peace to know you will see him again!! God Bless!!

This thread is too much fun to be killed. It will always be resurrected from time to time. Here's a smile for ya......

Hello Friends! I feel like a proud mom (and/or dad) when I read about all of you getting into the 12's, 14's, & 16's. Hey Myra, don't worry.....I'll be here with ya all the way girl! I'm convinced it will come off. Maybe not as fast as anticipated, but hang in there. Have you started the elliptical yet? I didn't care for it much myself when we joined the Y last year. Kim ~ :omg: 101 lbs!! Woweeee!!! So glad your feeling better. We've had the phenergen in the house since the surgery and only needed it once. Have not experienced the vomiting yet and let's hope it stays that way. 3Loves gets her fill on Mon. I look for some serious changes after that. This will only be the 2nd fill since the surgery. Does it still feel like you've had a slip? Drews ~ Hugs to you!! You are SUPER DUPER to keep the May group together. Thanks!! Glad to hear your back on your skates. I bet it was difficult to sit & watch. We wants pics when you are inducted. Alicia ~ How does Harrison like the bike rides? We have 2 sons ages 4 yrs and on Sat our oldest will turn a whopping 6 yrs. He thinks this is the age where he he knows it ALL. We are going as a family to OK in a few weeks to look at homes & visit schools. Edmond seems to be the front runner at this point. Our boys are really excited. Glad their young enough to make a major move like this without major impacts such as best friends or schools. I think it would be much more difficult if they were older.

It's nice to see you back marz. What a neat thing you all did for Jonathon!! I'm sure that will always be a special memory for him. OU ~ You are the MAN!! Linda ~ You must be a fat burning machine. I wish I had the problem of working out too much. Maybe I should give it a try. :guess Alicia ~ Nothing planned for the anniversary yet. Good idea to start thinking about it.
-
Wonderful news about your brother!! It will be a tough road for sure. He is lucky to have you there to support him. Keep us posted. My cousin is doing better. Slow progress & he is still on life support. I guess his pancreas was full of toxins and spilled over into the rest of his body. Some people do not recover from this, but the docs seem positive with each passing day.
-
Missy ~ I sure have missed you. You make this thread fun by adding the Gordon factor. Regarding Matt.....hmmm, maybe it's the probation issue from last year. :guess I love seeing that tape and the look on Matt's face. I have wondered if someone at DEI is purposely sabotaging the team b/c of the events that occurred b4 the season started. There is no reason for DEI to NOT be out front at a plate race. It's just unheard of. What's the streak game? Personally, I do NOT like the new NASCAR.com website. It takes too long to get the current/most recent news. I contacted them and it took me over 15 min to just find the addy to send my complaint. I now use Foxsports.com.

BTW, the Spell Check feature will only work if you download spell check before using the "check mark". I for one, could not live without it.

God is sitting in Heaven when a scientist says to Him, "Lord, we don't need you anymore. Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing. In other words, we can now do what you did in the 'beginning.'" "Oh, is that so? Tell me..." replies God. "Well, " says the scientist, "we can take dirt and form it into the likeness of You and breathe life into it, thus creating man." "Well, that's interesting. Show Me." So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to mold the soil. "Oh no, no, no..." interrupts God, ( I love this) "Get your own dirt."

Hey Missy, how's the view from the pole? The downside of it is that no one has won from the pole. I guess there's always a chance to change it. BTW, the last time Tony came in last at Daytona, he went on the win the championship. Look out, it's going to be a good year for him. Northernsun ~ You should really go to a race. It is awesome to feel the cars roar by. You can feel it in your bones. There's nothing like it. maudeispam ~ Did you ever name your entertainment area? I think it was you looking for a name ideas awhile back. Poor Mark.....I hope he has a good year. We think very highly of him.
-
Hi Julie ~ I will be sure to pray for your brother to accept treatment. BTW, you are doing a super job with your band....very proud of you. Please pray for my cousin, Donnie, in NC. He is in his late 50's and has been on life support the past couple of days. He was taken to the ER 4 days ago and they discovered a blockage from his pancreas to his liver. They discovered an infection in his pancreas. He and his family have a personal relationship with the Lord. We are praying for his full recovery.

Pay for the band! Poll!
paladin replied to princess_n_thep's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
We had a max out-of-pocket of $1500 for my DW to get the band. We will consider self-pay for myself if I can't get approval after a job change with new insurance. According the my DW, the band the best thing she's ever done for herself. -
Much love to you Leatha. You are like a warm cup of soup on a winter day. Hope all is well with you. We are looking in the OKC area. I hear there are tarantulas & scorpions. My DW is not happy about that. :phanvan It will be a few months b4 the move is complete. Just pray that we will find a home and sell ours quickly.
-
WHAT a race!! Personally, I'm disappointed b/c of Tony having a DNF. Any Harvick fans out there? If so, congrats to you. Kevin came out of no where. I thought Martin had it for sure. I guess we're off to CA next week. So, how many of your are going to races this year?

Linda ~ You girls are too funny....looking for 3Loves. We don't do other sites. LBT is the only one for us. Thanks for looking though. It kind of gives you that warm fuzzy feeling, ya know? Glad to hear your staying put. Like I mentioned on the prayer thread, the Lord always puts you at the perfect place at the perfect time. About the protein.....I've always wondered if different people burn protein in different ways. I've read on LBT where people comment they are taking in plenty of protein and couldn't possibly be low, but I think it can depend on how you exercise and the way your individual body processes it. Sounds clear as mud doesn't it. Hope you get the gist of what I'm saying. Do you exercise a lot? BTW, do you still pee b4 weighing yourself? :heh: Keep us posted!

Amaze Rx.....anyone heard of it?
paladin replied to hotpink_bubbles's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Never heard of it. I would be skeptical. So, your a Kasey fan? There are a few people on here that would quickly agree with you. I know that mychevygirl lives in the state of Washington kind of close to his home town. Personally, we are Stewart fans in our home. You should join us at the NASCAR thread: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/r-u-nascar-t15933p6.html Just about every driver is covered with a LBT member. It's fun. Can't wait for Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!! -
Bumping :bump2: and also asking for prayer as my family is going to be making a huge move to OK within the next few months. Job change. The Lord always puts us where we need to be at the perfect time.

You know, I think your right. We recently considered an application for COBRA and I remember seeing the word "divorce". It's worth a phone call nonetheless. Janiee, I hope you can get resolution and find peace.

SuperDaddy: Back to the Starting Line(?)
paladin replied to SuperDaddy!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you Jon! You are an inspiration. I have been away from LBT as well and now I'm back for similar reasons. I need the support. I want to say I appreciate your testimony and the way you shine for Him. I am sorry to read about the loss of your mother. I trust she was saved. If so, you know you will be with her again soon. I feel in my heart the rapture is just around the corner. CONGRATS on baby Ella. Such a precious gift. I'm sure you get some exercise walking around with her in your arms. They are hard to put down at that young age. Speaking of failure, I want to add something. As a Christian, it would be very easy for me to consider myself a failure since I have made many mistakes. I am choosing to think of it as growing instead. We all learn lessons and the Lord brings us closer to Him each time. That's the way it is with weight loss. Take baby steps and pray.....you are guaranteed to grow in your knowledge and success with weight loss. BTW, add me to your prayer list and you have already been added to mine. There used to be a prayer request thread on LBT. I'll have to look that up and bump it. Keep us updated and thank you again for giving voice to many of the challenges we all face. God Bless!
