Hey group! Got banded today at 8:00 this morning. Comming out of it, it felt like someone was standing on my abdomen. There was quite a bit of pain. Then I coughed and it felt like a punch to the gut. The morphine has come in handy but I'm trying not to use it. The suckiest part has been the feeling of flame shooting out of my penis. They told me it's normal. The cath will do that . Other than that, it's been pretty normal. Good luck to all

I weighed myself today for the first time since February 28th. I have lost 17 pounds on my pre op diet and I still have till Monday that my surgery is scheduled for. I wanted to hug the freakin scale. I guess my dedication and commitment has been paying off. I'll keep reporting back on my progress. Good luck to all.

Four more days!!! This is tough but I am determined! I am proud to say that I have not cheated one bit. I am a football coach in Texas and I've been getting a little slow out there. This is gonna allow me to be a better coach and father. I am weighing myself tomorrow and will post my results.

Over the three day hump! I feel good now. I am allowed one meal a day with 4oz of lean meats and 2 cups of veggies that cannot be corn or potatoes. I am taking the ISO pure protein from gnc only up to 4 times a day. It has taken some major will power on my part but I just keep thinking about getting into that endzone. Good luck to you guys!

I'm also scheduled for the 16th. I'm on my third day today. First day was hell, 2nd day was hellish, and today has not been too bad. I feel lighter already! Good luck to all.

Hello to everyone. This is my first ever post. I am scheduled to be banded on March 16, 2009. I had been thinking about it for a while when i ran into an old friend who got it. She looked great and was extremely excited about her results for such a short time. The hook for me was the price. Her surgeon is having a promotion until the end of February which includes everything (pre op testing and labs) for $7500. The Hospital, anethesia, Surgeon, and labs. The only thing that was not included was the sleep study I had to take, but I was diagnosed with major sleep apnea so that makes it well worth the extra cost and it is covered by my insurance. I live on the Border to Mexico and you couldn't pay me to get it in Mexico. It is way too dangerous out there and I don't mean the surgery!
