jillrn...I shared your frustration...until I went into my dr and he finally diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism which meant for me that my metabolism doesn't work full stop. I store...every single bit that I eat and I will be on medication for the rest of my life to get it too work. Probably doesn't help you...but there could be other reasons...Talk to your DR if you are really worried. becky

Tom328...I used to PB almost as soon as I ate 'offensive' food...hehehe usually meat or something that doesn't break down easily...However, the good news is that I am 17months post surgery and I haven't PB in an awfully long time probably 6months or more. becky

How long without losing until you get a fill?
flabuless replied to derbygirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
derbygirl...probably not that encouraging but for me i tried changing my diet a tad...sometimes just changing a few things that you have been eating can make ALL the difference. I pretty much have a fill every 3 months. loosing or not...but changing my diet a tad usually helps get over the plateau... -

haha Laurend...I feel exactly the same way...I have 1000 things to do and people depending on me...and other people delaying me. but I can only do so much I just try and find something I can do and do it...it may not be much but at least I feel like I am doing something proactive...instead of just running around pulling out my hair...But GOD it is FRUSTRATING! becky

hahaha! I am just weening my 18 month year old from breast feeding anyhow my mom decided it was time for me to throw away the nursing bras and get me some with a bit more support! He He He...anyhow I went into the Bra shop and was looking around at size 22 (18usd) around the torsoe with a DD cup...hmmm the sales person asked if I had been fitted recently...to which I explained ahhh No! so the bustled me off to the dressing room and started fitting me...OK so my cup size was G australian sizing (lots for an eventual new man to play with) but the size around the torsoe was actually a size 18 ( equiv...14USD) I was stoked...Yay! becky

you are all not alone...for me when I first started walking up my own driveway was a struggle...It is only now 18months later that I am able to power walk for an hour at a time and up REALLY steep hills to boot...(i only started doing that recently) You gain in confidence the more you do it and you can push yourself harder and harder but it has to be at your own pace...You will get there...just keep taking small steps. becky

I am sorry but I am not much help...in australia we didn't have to go on a liquid diet pre surgery....so I literally had the last supper the night...before...I ate and ate. and it was yummy! Post surgery...was a different story...I found the liquid diet sooooooo hard. infact I was on thickish soups by the third day...and I felt sooo hungry all the time. But surprisingly, it got easier...now sometimes I have to force myself to eat.

Great thread! My weeks goal is to quit stressing....I have had a really bad week emotionally and it has effected my eating habits...I fluctuate some days I don't eat a thing (ie revert to liquid diet) and then some days I eat things I should'nt eat like biscuits and jelly Beans...so If I can destress I can at least keep some control...a happy medium. I realise I do need food but more than that I need the RIGHT food. becky

I am not doing weight watchers but I have been thinking about it...just to give myself a bit of structure in my eating habits...but I know what you mean about the negativity towards WLS. but when you think of it of course they are...if everyone went the WLS route...there would be no need for weightwatchers... they make money on the fact that people end up putting weight back on again...and again...with WLS that is it...NEVER AGAIN. weight watchers to me is like a patch...it works fine for awhile but WLS is more permanent... people are afraid of what they don't know...secretly they are probably REALLY jealous...You go girl! Becky

A thread for Single Bandsters
flabuless replied to NewBeginnings2018's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ha Ha I love this thread...my name is Becky and I am 28 and have recently come out of a 4 year relationship with an absolute ars*h*le !!!thank goodness. we have been separated for 18months and I am just starting legal proceedings to divorce... I haven't had 'ANY' for more than 2 years now...hehehe cant believe I am telling y'all this...and Gosh I am itching for it...I haven't been dating as after the divorce I moved 4min walk down my parents street...bad move...but as there was 2 kids in the mix it has been a lifesaver for me to have them so close...ok so I am sooooo... ready to move on...physically at least... and I am looking more and more beautiful everyday...but emotionally I really feel bad for the man that is game enough to take me on.hehehe! I am too much of a handful...I hope to find THAT guy...that will accept me for me weight and all and perhaps...I have found that in an unlikely corner...but watch this space...maybe...who knows? becky -
I know exactly how you feel...I payed someone to clean my house...post surgery...I had enough to deal with...a recently X unproductive husband included...but post surgery...it was all about me...so I did WHATEVER necessary to make myself feel good...and cleaning the house was one of the things I quite happily delegated...It only lasted about 5 months... but it was the best investment I ever made...Look after yourself first...it takes awhile to get back to 'normal' but loosing weight helps alot...now I actually have the energy/motivation to do it myself...then I didn't. Becky
