    Nervous Wreck

becca yes there are changes to be made...but the results far outway the sacrifices...I am 2 years in almost now and I can eat most things apart from red meats...GRRR but I am ok...the first few weeks were rough...there is light at the end of the tunnel...and as you stick with the program interms of your liquid diet etc...you will start seeing the weight fall off and that will be all the incentive you need to keep on going. Congrats on your impending surgery and keep us posted. becky

    I can eat

I say try and follow the plan from day...1 it will make things so much easier in the long run...I ate too soon and my band did stretch a bit...so I dont have nearly the same amount of restriction I would have if I had stuck to the program....but I am still loosing weight...albeit slowly so I havent mucked things up entirely...but a big part of this process is retraining your mind! and your internal conversations with yourself...start now...and you wont regret it later. becky

    New in Lapbandland

Welcome to LBT...I concur with the others it took me at least 5 days after to walk up my driveway...and I had the gas pains for most of that time...walking a 5k is probably ambitious...but how much do you want to do it...if you push yourself you probably could. becky
  17. smacking/spanking: They are both the same to us us over here...a 'forceful' pat on the backside or a slap on the hand etc. With the new legislation we wont be able to do any of that. I hope this clarifies. The only thing we will be able to do is 'use reasonable force if the child is putting themselves in direct danger...meaning if my child is about you run accross the street with a car coming I am allowed to yank him back wit force...but I am not allowed to physically discipline him afterwards for disobedience. The new law will mean that if anyone sees me smacking/spanking my children they can report me and the children will be taken off me and I would be tried in court for child abuse. hmmm as much as I avoid smacking/spanking I still don't believe that is right. Thanks everyone for your responces. Becky

Need to get back on the food wagon

Christine F Wow! I think this happens to all of us...I constantly struggle with the whole mind thing...ultimately I think the mind is what it boils down too...Start asking yourself WHY you feel the need to eat. Why do you sabotage yourself...what do you fear in being thin. What is holding you back...if you can work through this you can break through the barriers... I am always here as well so PM or email if you want to chat through things. becky

I caved on the liquid diet

X-ray chic Don't worry hon...I did exactly the same thing...creamy mashed potatoes were my downfall but..be careful and try and stay on the wagon...you don't want to risk it...You'll be fine... becky

  25. hi guys...ok...I know it has been too long...after my computer crash and being without a computer for 4 weeks in january the truth is I guess I have been avoiding this site in away...my weightloss stagnated for so long and I could see everyone else doing so good that I lost my nerve and felt like a failure... the good news is that I am slowly but surely getting back on track...I have lost 8lbs over the past 2 months...which I am really happy about. I had put on some over christmas so that was a bit disgruntling. but I am expecting bigger and better or should I say smaller and slimmer things over the next few months... I have upped my walking regine I walk for 1hr 3-4 days a week and I have even started attempting steep hills...which has been great for toning my legs and butt... YAY!!! Flabulicious here I come...any how...I will be around from now on...I promise! I have missed you guys this is the only place I can come where I feel that everybody understand what I am going through. My face is loosing weight and is looking great so I thought I would post it here along side a 'BEFORE' pic so that you can see the difference...hehehe all nice comments about me will be well received...:girl_hug: Hey I never said I was humble! hahaha... Any how guys you shall see me around from now on...I hope to hear from y'all soon. hugs and kisses :girl_hug: :kiss2: Becky
