I find i have to have something before going to bed otherwise i wake up in the middle of the night starving...i usually have a cracker biscuit and a glass of milk...it seems to keep me going!
-
darn I thought I was going to get my kicks for the day! hehehe! the ice cube method works...i made heaps of mushie veges at one time then froze them...I had about 5-6 cubes of these at mealtimes...
-
icecream!!! yum i lived on icecream and jello for the first few days after surgery! Best wishes!
-
carefull babe! don't over doit...the last thing you want to do is stretch your pouch...just try to make the best food choices you can between now and then...don't eat until you are stuffed...take it easy until you have an dr examine... best wishes

there certainly is a fine line between restriction/no restriction isn't there? I dont' feel restricted hardly ever...but with me it all comes down to me doing my bit and making the best food choices I can...I try to have 3 meals a day...minimal/careful snacking and get aggressive exercise 4 days a week. I am still loosing weight...but I can't rely just on the lapband...it lets me down too often..I have to rely on myself.
-
meee hungry too...I find though depending on what I eat I can stave off the hunger for longer periods...if I eat a full vege and meat meal...I am not hungry for some time...whereas if i eat toast/pasta or something like that...I am hungry again within 30min
-
oh and one more thing...I ate yoghurt like it was going out of fashion...i was eating yoghurt within about 7 days of having my lapband.
-
hi jc28... i really didn't do anything different...when I was in liquid stage I drank heaps of vege mix juices to try and get the nutrients I need...I also had heaps of milk based drinks ie milo/milkshake/smoothies/ etc I started on the mushies pretty early...earlier than my doctor would have liked so I just blended all my meats/vegetables together and mixed with a bit of milk and butter....my favorite dish was tuna morney...hmmm yummy...I had heaps of this. but baby was fine and continued to put on weight all the way through...I did give her one bottle/formula feed a day also just because my milk was a little down at around 5ish...but other than that it all progressed well!
-
no...nothing special..the body has an amazing way of adapting...
-
Hi ya jc28... I missed about 3 (12hrs) feeds while the anesthetic was getting out of my system...but apart from that my breast feeding returned back to normal...and the baby had no issues.

I am going for a size 14(aust)/10(us) hopefully i will get there...however I would be extra happy with a size 12(aust)/8(us). Those darned international sizing systems...why cant it be one size standard for all countries!!! very confusing!

It sometimes take 3 or 4 fills before you get it right...i could still eat like a horse after my first fill...thats where some self control has to kick in. but you will eventually get your 'sweet spot' and its all downhill from there. Good luck

I'll reply to this thread in 2 years time!!! hehehe I have heard of stomach erosion...thank god i haven't experienced it...yet (touch wood NOT) try and stick by the rules...however, I have to admit...I don't always...but I am still loosing weight and take one day at a time. That is how I survive on lap band.

flabuless replied to Bostongurl's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I am with you...I am exercising walking for about 1hr each day...but I have given up on my scales mostly...get the measuring tape out...start taking body measurements then you will get a true reflection. -

Hi abatkins My first fill wasn't enough either...barely felt anything and I had 2cc in a 4cc band...I am now on 3.5cc and it seems to be fine. Try and get back in for another fill before christmas if you are worried that christmas dinner might have too many temptations for you!!! Merry Christmas
