    pre-admit today

    congrats on your pre-admit...it is a bit daunting i know...The night before my surgery I hardly slept so didn't have dreams at all...But this is the beginning of your bright and glorious future as the NEW YOU so although daunting it is also an incredibly exciting time... Best wishes Becky

    Don't know where to start?

    Welcome arayofhope616 I had my lapband a year ago and as far as i am concerned it was a life saver and I dont regret it for the world! I am able to live a much more active life than I did previously. and i am really starting to enjoy life again...Best wishes on your own journey...I hope you find the answers you are looking for keep us posted on how you get along?     mariecarment Congratulations...yes it is kind of addicting isnt it...I burn the pavement 5 days a week for about 1 hour a day and i love how exilerating it makes you feel. Thanks for sharing. keep us posted. becky

Been there, done that, still there sometimes but getting better...Its an ongoing lifechange sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't...having the fill certainly does help but i have the problem that I see food i want to eat...even if I am not hungry persay so that is a deamon I am still dealing with...best luck for your fill. It is very exciting. I am having another on the 22nd so hopefully I will get to my 'sweet spot' becky

Congrats...you'll be fine just be yourself! if he is meant to be he is meant to be...I have just recently tried my own hand at internet dating...I have met someone nice and we are corresponding for now...but I don't know if I will ever have the guts to actually meet with him for a real face to face date...that takes courage...and you obviously have it...Well done. another step in your journey to the new you! becky
  10. I take liquid vitamins...works for me...but our brands in New Zealand are different from yours in US so i wont try and recommend any! hehehe!! becky

    I know its a nuicence isn't it...but you can usually tell it for what it is from a mile off they are not very creative in how they present it...what I think is funny is why they think a weightloss community would be interested in most of what they are offering! I mean HELLO! becky

    Just beginning the research

    Welcome to LBT margo281 I have a hypothyroid condition and I was accepted for lapband...Best thing I have ever done...dont regret it in the least...the surgery (although I was pretty nervous going in) was uneventful and I was up and walking within the first 24hrs...you are to be congratulated for wanting to turn yours and your husbands life around...Best wishes on your search for answers.. becky

I usually eat a couple of pieces of sandwich toast for breakfast a couple of small cracker biscuits for morning tea a pitabread with some kind of filling for lunch (ie cottage cheese & tuna) a couple of low calorie sweet biscuits for afternoon tea (arrowroot) and meat and veges for dinner...my servings are the inside circle of a side plate. becky

    I have so been where you are...I had never had an operation in my life and been under anesthetic so I was petrified. but I survived and I am so glad i went through it. wouldnt change it for the world Becky

    Tips for a new runner?

    My trainer said to start running by telephone posts (we have them here) ie run to a post, walk the next, run, walk etc etc. and then change the pattern run x 2, walk 1 etc etc...and build it up until you are running the whole way...I haven't tried it yet...still got a fair bit to loose and it wrecks my weak ankles but probably because I am doing it wrong. becky
