You go girl! Congrats on your fantastic compliment! I love your last statement... Glory in the sun of that compliment you deserve every bit of the warmth! :welldone2: becky

hmmm interesting...my personal view it doesnt matter what denomination you are as long as you believe in jesus christ as your personal saviour and walk in his steps (as much as possible...we are all human) however, a line has to be drawn somewhere there are certain biblical standards that have to be followed there are many groups that call themselves 'christian' but their beliefs are warped and so far away from what the bible actually says...so yea...we need to agree to disagree. I would still 'love' and 'fellowship' with them as friends and/or acqauintences but as far as allowing them to speak into my life and my christian walk...I would have to put up the boundaries. :welldone2: Becky

Wow its a far cry from my Crooner music! ie Ella Fitzgerald, Westlife, Diana Ross....I think I will stick to them though...How depressing some of that 'emo' music is. :welldone2: Becky

I hate exercising .....take a look at this
flabuless replied to faybie's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Hehehe! I like the advice Faybie...and it works! as soon as I think i need to go for my walk...I change into my sneakers (walking shoes) even if I dont go immediately having the sneakers on is a reminder of what i am going to do...so it is easier just to put the kids in the pram and GO! :welldone2: Becky -

Would you go on a date with someone who didn't ask you out until you lost weight?
flabuless replied to ser123's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I would date a man even if he might not of got interested in me while I was heavy...you see loosing this weight is creating in me a whole new person body mind and soul where i was in my head and emotions when I was at my largest is a far cry from where I am now...its more than just a physical thing its a personality/mentality thing too. That person may not have been interested in me for me for more valid reasons than just my weight. The truth is I probably wouldn't date a fat man either... -
Wow! wish I was you! :welldone2: becky

Welcome Mitzi I didnt know how I was going to go with all the lifestyle/habit changes also but I took the plunge and did it...sure now and then I slip up and revert to old habits but the lapband forces me to be realistic about my everyday choices...food, exercise, activties etc. 1 year down the track and i wouldn't have it any other way...it is completely normal to wonder if you are going to be able to keep with the rules and such but you really wont know till you try...and If this is important to you, and you want it so much, and it seems to me that you do! Then you will be fine and I am sure you will surprise yourself... I cant wait to hear of your success story to! :welldone2: becky

Hello - Considering Lap Band - NYC
flabuless replied to benbax's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome Benbax you have come to the right place for support, inspiration and information. it is great that you have found us. I have been banded for a year and totally, utterly, completely love it...I have never regretted it for a moment. I am getting a new lease on life and am now able to participate in things I never was able to before...there are still sacrifices to be made and it hasn't been an easy process but it has been WAY worth it for me...I hope it will be the same for you! I look forward to hearing of your progress! :welldone2: becky -
Welcome to LBT impersons... Although one year post op I have learned so many things here on lapband talk that I never new previously...Its an ongoing process so you may never know everything but once you've got the basics you'll be fine...I do agree with shutuplena that I wasn't ready for the gas pains post surgery and I probably wasn't prepared for the length of time it was going to take me to loose the weight I need but I have learned on this forum that diff people diff rates so now I dont get so fustrated at my slower progress. I hope you find all the answers you are looking for. Please keep us posted on your progress! Best wishes Becky :welldone2:

Welcome to LBT whitney! Great to see you here! I cant talk for pregnancy post lapband as I had my last child about 5 weeks before having the surgery...and I cant speak for fill doctors in your area, as I am in New Zealand but i can say it sounds like your hubby loves you very much just the way you are...and it is wonderful to see he is so concerned about you...I agree with IMSUSIe in that once he sees what a fulfilled and happy wife you will become after getting rid of the 'burden' you have carried for a big chunk of your life he will be so pleased and so proud...Best wishes on your surgery. keep us posted wont you! :welldone2: becky
