Welcome Leah Sorry to hear of your fill issues...some people hear say that reverting to liquids/mushies for the first couple of days after a fill helps just while it settles in...however if the pain persisists talk to your doctor you could be too tight. Welcome to lapband talk Tara. I was due to have my lapband in January 05 but discovered 1 week before I was due for surgery that I was 4 weeks pregnant...needless to say I had to delay my surgery until October 05...but the best thing was that I lost weight all through my pregnancy so that when I went in for banding I was already some 16kgs lighter!!! Congrats on making a fantastic decision and on the pending arrival of your new bub. The best is yet to come believe me! Just think of all the extra chasing after your toddler you will be able to do once you have lost the weight. the fun begins. ohhhh shellybeans I love that quote...I will have to put it up on my fridge. but yea the holiday season has been hard for me to but I ended up giving myself a break and have been eating little bits of whatever I like...I certainly haven't eaten as much as I did pre lapband and I will probably put on a lb or two but hey...I can alwasy take it back off next year when this 'silly' season settles down.

I am shooting for my dr recommended goal weight of 176lbs but I think once i get there I will see what feels the most comfortable between 150-176lbs. After all its about how I feel about how I look so I should be the one to decide. My true aim is to be a dress size 10. becky

AlyssaH I am up to my 5th fill and only now at my sweet spot...so keep the faith...it will come together. becky

Huberslave there is good advice above...main thing is don't give up keep on at them till you hear...and when you hear if its not what you want to hear make them change their minds!!!! You go girl! becky

Congratulations on taking this wonderful step for yourself and for being brave and courageous enough to do it without the support of your friends and coworkers at this stage...You obviously have a lot of determination and commitment to the lifestyle change so you will be just fine! The liquid diet is difficult...no sugar coating that. but the trick is variety...find some flavours you really like and alternate. keep us posted...but I am positive yours will be the next lapband talk success story. becky

Walk Walk Walk...that is how I survived the shoulder pains. I cried on my 4th and 5th days too...it was excruciating but It does pass, dont worry! becky
