  1. I just read your blog and you are so adorable! I wish you the best of luck and look forward to walking through your journey with you!! :)

  2. Things are going fantastic! I am down 35 or so pounds and feeling wonderful! I had my first fill last friday. I am still not feeling any restriction but am hopeful w/the next fill it will get better. Have you gone for a fill yet?? I hope all is well!

  3. Rachel,

My daughter's name is Piper and she will be 2 on the 15th of June. She has been a real handful since my surgery. She never wanted to sit in my lap or put her head on my stomach... now... that's all she wants!! I too am sick of liquid. I dreamt about cottage cheese yesterday... who does that! I can't wait until Tuesday when I can finally have some. Did you have your post op visit? How did it go? What did your doctor say? Did he remove your bandages/tapes? Things for me are pretty good... just still feel like I have done a million too many crunches... but I'm making it! :)

  4. Thank you for the VERY sweet comment about my munchkin... she is my pride and joy! :) How much longer does your dr have you on liquid?

  5. Hey sweets! Things are going great! I wouldn't say only 12 lbs... that is a big deal! you're doing fantastic! I hope all goes well with your fill... one thing I wish I'd known when I went for my first fill is when they tell you to drink water... they mean SIP!! I gulped and whew that sure went bad! They just want to make sure some can pass through... no that you get hydrated all of a sudden. LOL! I hope it goes well and look forwarding to hearing what you think of the experience!

  6. Hey darlin! I hope you are doing great! I am so excited for you about your loss :) After my first fill... I was on clear liquids for 2 days, then full liquids for 2 days, then soft food for 3 or so... then back to regular food. Seems like if you are on track with your fills... about the time you get back to real food it's time for another fill... LOL. I look forward to hearing what you think and how you feel! It really is a breeze! JUST REMEMBER TO SIP!!!! :) :) :)

  7. The pregnancy is a bit depressing. I worked so hard to lose the weight; I am really struggling with my growing belly... which REALLY upset's Dr. C. He said "I remember when you came in here and this was all fat... now it's all baby". I am so tired of people asking if it's twins... No I'm just fat! While I'm very fortunate not to have gained any weight. I already look like I have a basketball in my stomach and I'm only 10 weeks. The comments from my co-workers etc... is very disheartening. :( On a positive note... 8 lbs is FANTASTIC! Congrats! You are doing so wonderful. I will keep my fingers crossed and you in my prayers about your weight loss prior to his birthday party. Are you exercising? What are you eating? How are you feeling aside from the adjustment discomfort/sickness? I hope you are doing great and look forwarding to keeping in touch!

  8. Oh angel face! I am so elated and so sad at the same time! I am so excited about your band and so sad by your other trials. I sure hope you get to feeling better really soon. I will keep you and the results in my prayers! I have faith that it will all come back ok. Did he say if it comes back benign what they have to do to remove the masses from your throat? It is ashame that he didn't find that before your surgery so they could have taken care of it one way or the other the same day as your lapband. Keep you head up; it will be ok! :) I am so proud of you and the journey you have been on, you are so strong and are doing SO great! I have a copy of my pre-op and post- op diet scanned to my home computer. If you have an email address I can send it to you. I am doing pretty good... SO thankful (knock on wood) not to have gained any so far!!

  9. You have to take into consideration most other people are also grossly over the BMI of 40 when they go on the pre-op also... you are not so your weight loss will be harder and slower bc you don't have as much to lose, you have SO much to be proud of and 1.5 is down not up!!! :) I am SO excited for you... you'd think I was the one having surgery tomorrow! I hope all goes well and I can't wait to hear how it all goes! I will keep you in my prayers! :)

  10. Piper is doing fantastic and is still TERRIBLY 2!!! The baby is doing good. I am VERY anxious for December 30th to hurry up and get here so I can find out if it is a boy or a girl!! If it is a boy I am trying to get Scott (my hubby) to buy into the name Peyton Daniel :) I'm hoping for a boy... I think I should stop hoping that though bc I am going to jinx myself. I hope you are feeling better with everyday and know that I am here if you need ANYTHING! :) Thinking of you, keeping you in my prayers and hoping for a fast and healthy recovery! :) :) :) :)
