I haven't talked to you in so long and have missed our talks and motivating each other! How are you? HOw is your journey going? How are the little ones?

Hey girl friend, I just wanted to check on you and your Babies. I sure hope all is well. I am sure Piper is ready to be big sister. I think about you often.

Sorry I missed this, I haven't been on in a very long time. I found out on 6/10 that I was 8 weeks pregnant. I had a little boy on 12/31/09!
How is your pregnancy going thus far?

Hey Sweetie,
Not sure if you sign on much anymore but I'm always thinking of you and wondering how your pregnancy is going. I'm sending you good thoughts!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words and prayers. I am so proud of you for handling this pregnancy like a pro. Really no weight gain. That is wonderful. I like your name for a boy. Piper and Peyton sound good together. I will send you my e-mail on a private message. Thanks for sending me your diets. You are a wonderful friend. Hugs and Kisses. :)Amanda

Piper is doing fantastic and is still TERRIBLY 2!!! The baby is doing good. I am VERY anxious for December 30th to hurry up and get here so I can find out if it is a boy or a girl!! If it is a boy I am trying to get Scott (my hubby) to buy into the name Peyton Daniel I'm hoping for a boy... I think I should stop hoping that though bc I am going to jinx myself. I hope you are feeling better with everyday and know that I am here if you need ANYTHING! Thinking of you, keeping you in my prayers and hoping for a fast and healthy recovery! :) :)

Oh angel face! I am so elated and so sad at the same time! I am so excited about your band and so sad by your other trials. I sure hope you get to feeling better really soon. I will keep you and the results in my prayers! I have faith that it will all come back ok. Did he say if it comes back benign what they have to do to remove the masses from your throat? It is ashame that he didn't find that before your surgery so they could have taken care of it one way or the other the same day as your lapband. Keep you head up; it will be ok! I am so proud of you and the journey you have been on, you are so strong and are doing SO great! I have a copy of my pre-op and post- op diet scanned to my home computer. If you have an email address I can send it to you. I am doing pretty good... SO thankful (knock on wood) not to have gained any so far!!

I will not know anything back from them for a few more day.
My tummy is fine from the band, but my neck hurts soooo bad. I would not wish that on my worst enemy.
Well sorry to be complaining so much. Guess my good news is my band is great. I got to move to full liquids today. What was your post-op diet?
How are you and your little ones? Hope all is well. <3 ya, Amanda

Hey Girlfriend,
I am in the club now. Everything went great getting my band. Dr. Duncan and his team are absolutely the best.
However, on my initial visit with Dr. Duncan he kept looking at my throat when I was talking. Before I left his office he felt of my neck and asked my to go get an ultra sound of my thyroids done. I actually did this on the Wednesday before my surgery on Monday. Anyway, after my surgery he said he wanted me to go and have a FNA ultrasound done because he found 2 large mass on my thyroids. Lucky me!! This was the worst thing I have every been through. They put me on a table with my head tilted back as far as it would go and stuck 9 needles in my neck. 2 of the needles was lidacaine, but that only numbed the skin area. The doctor (it was not Dr. Duncan) sucked out some of the cells in the needles and sent them down to pathology for testing.

I LOVE the chocolate. You can buy them in huge tubs or single serving packets to try the flavors or carry with you. They are realtively in-expensive and you'll never come to my house and not be able to find it. It has been a staple for my diet since surgery and keeps me very full! I have told Piper about the baby... but I don't know that she really gets it.... who knows for sure. When I say be careful not to kick mommy's tummy or you'll hurt the baby; she runs to her playrool and grabs a babydoll and holds it to my belly. it's really very cute! How far apart are your kids? I just can't tell if she understands. I am so excited for you.... pretty soon you'll want to change your name to 1 hott mama! Keep me posted and know I'm here if you need ANYTHING! "T"

I am so exited for you... YAY 6 days! I have heard of people keeping gas ex on hand but taking it before hand will not really help you bc it will wear off by the time you do your pre-op at the hospital with the prep and get put under etc... nothing can really help you with the gas initally. They fill your stomach with air/gases and it is what it is. I took some as soon as I got home... but it wasn't really bad until a few days after when the anesthia wears off. Oh my goodness, I drank and still do to this day a protein shake called Jay Robb... it is like heaven in a cup. 1 serving has 30 grams of protein only 110 calories, and 1 carb... it also has 0 grams of sugar which is HUGE for a protein shake. They come in Chocolate, Vanilla, Pina Colada, Tropical Dreamsicle and flavorless. I add some whipped cream, psyllium husk powder (no taste but helps keep you regular) and a few ice cubes... it's like a frosty from Wendy's.

I am very excited. I am doing well on the pre-op diet so far, not so sure about the last two days of liquid only. But I aint scared. I do have a question, a lady at the doctors office was telling me about taking the gas-x strip before her surgery, have you ever heard of that? My other question is what Protein shake do/did you use? Thanks in Advace. Have you told the new big sister yet? That is a fun time with the second baby. My son prayed for about a year everynight for his little brother, so when I was far enough along to tell him he was too excited. I am so happy for you. Amanda -- 6 days to a new life.
