  1. Well my fill went great. I am finally feeling a little bit of restriction, but not a lot. I am finally down about 40 lbs and glad to see the scale back in the downward spiral. I hope your fill goes great! I look forward to hearing about it and how you're feeling! Aside from slow... how has your weight loss been going? How much are you down? Do you work out at all? I hope all is well and look forward to keep in touch with you.

  2. Hey sweet pea... how are you? I hope you are doing great! Well my 2nd fill went well. I am feeling a little more restriction than in the past. I am on day one of full liquids after 2 days of clear... I am feeling pretty good and am down 5 lbs since Friday :) :) :) I go back to see him August 21st for #3. How are things going on your end. Should be hearing back from your insurance sometime next week! :) YAY!!! Maybe when I go back for my next visit you will be on your pre-op appt week! :) I hope all is well and look forward to hearing how you're doing!! :)

    Eating Before a Fill

Well as far as the eating before hand goes... I called my doctors office and was told... that is doesn't make a difference, that you can eat before a fill... you just have to be on clear liquid following the fill so your stoma can heal properly... I am going to be safe and make sure not to eat at least 3 hours before though... hope this helps anyone else who might have wanted to know. As far as the signature goes: you have to get the BB code and put it in that section other wise it won't take. I did it wrong as least 5 times before I finally figured it out. Thanks for all of your input!
  4. Hey darlin! I hope you are doing great! I am so excited for you about your loss :) After my first fill... I was on clear liquids for 2 days, then full liquids for 2 days, then soft food for 3 or so... then back to regular food. Seems like if you are on track with your fills... about the time you get back to real food it's time for another fill... LOL. I look forward to hearing what you think and how you feel! It really is a breeze! JUST REMEMBER TO SIP!!!! :) :) :)

  5. Hey girlie... how are you??? what's new?

  6. Well the insurance companies have a window of 14 days to approve or deny your claim so fortunately it isn't too long! Just think before you know it you will be banded and well on your way. I'm doing ok... having a tough time at work and really needing to find a new job... Do you know of anyone that is hiring! :( Piper is doing fantastic... ugly as anything... she definately is TERRIBLY 2!!! The weight loss since my fill has been very disappointing. I lost 10 lbs immediately and then have played with it for the last 3 weeks... up down, up down, it is so aggravating. I am ready to go back on Friday the 24th. I don't have any restriction and am in need of another fill!! I am glad you are doing good and can't wait to hear about yoru next appointment!

  7. When were you banded? Any tips for success? 25 lbs in 3.5 weeks is phenominal!! Keep up the GREAT work!!

  11. Hey angel face... how are you? What's new? How's the munchkin??

  12. Wow... you've lost 33 lbs since your surgery... you're doing great! I was banded 2 weeks before you and we have similar starting and ending goals so I thought we could keep in touch and support one another...

  13. Does anyone have any suggestions or things that have worked for them when they hit a plateau to break it and restart the losing cycle. I have hit a plateau and have not lost in about 2 weeks... it is VERY discouraging. Any suggestions would be welcome!!!
  14. Have you been banded yet? How is your journey going?

  15. Would you mind sharing some of your low carb recipes with me also... I'm running out of food ideas...

  16. I had my first fill on 6/19 and have had zero restriction. I go again on the 24th of this month. Most doctors I've read of won't do more than 1 a month. It's a struggle and really stinks not have the band doing it's job yet... but we'll get there. My surgeon told me it takes several fills to reach any kind of restriction let alone your sweet spot. Keep your head up... we can do it!
  17. Why did you have to have a port revision surgery yesterday? What was wrong with it? How are you feeling after your first fill? I hope everything is going great and you are feeling 100% better!!

  18. You are doing so fantastic! Keep up the great work! How are you feeling? Do you exercise at all?? I hope everything is WONDERFUL!! :) :) :)

  23. beth, I am doing pretty good. It has gotten kind of discouraging around here. I lost 10 lbs immediately after my first fill and then have only lost 1 since then. I am ready to go back for my next one! It is ashame your appt isn't on the 24th... that is when I go for my next fill! I am so excited for you beginning this new journey. How are you doing? Have you started following any kind of diet or changed your eating any to prepare yourself? How was your 4th? I hope all is well. It's great to hear from you! :)

  24. How has your weight loss gone? I am down 36ish lbs... Don't feel bad about your scale going up. Mine went up 3 lbs after surgery when I went to soft food. I lost 10 lbs from my fill (on a Friday) to that Monday... then when I went to soft food on Tuesday I went up three again... so our bodies are funny. I too am ready for the scale to go back in the downward spiral! I hope all is going well and look forward to hearing about your journey!

  25. Coleen- I also had a single incision surgery w/dr cywes. I am not feeling any discomfort which I am thankful for! It is SO nice to have my port in my belly button. I had my first fill on the 19th of June and it was a breeze. The one thing I will tell you is that when Dr. B tells you to drink water after he puts the liquid in your band. Dear lord please SIP!!!! I didn't and OMG! It was awful... When I was walking out I had to stop in the bathroom and throw it up. (It more like just fell out of my mouth) but the whole day it was hard to drink water... You will have to sip the whole first day... then the next day I was perfectly fine. Unfortunately I am not feeling any restriction at all... I go back on the 24th for my second fill.
