Hi, I'm Randy, new to this forum. I will be having my band put in this Thursday, Feb. 12. I'm looking forward to it, but also I'm a little scared. I'm sure all will go well, just wanting to get it in and start getting healthier. Hope to chat with some of you soon. Take care Randy

Liz, Everything is going well. I'm 11 days post op. i'm on blended food now, and I no longer have any pain. So far I'm down 23 lbs. The first week you will have some pain and swelling, but it does get better after the third day. You have nothing to worry about, everything will be ok and you'll do wonderfully. -

luchay, I did an 8 day liver reducing diet before surgery, and it went ok. Struggled the last two days but other than that, it's manageable. Good luck and keep going. Randy -

Hey guys, 4 days post banding and all is going well. Still have some discomfort but no major pains. Cravings for food are actually gone. I can now have cream soups in addition to liquids. I start blended foods this Friday. So far down 18 lbs, 6 since surgery last Thursday. -

Princess, Thank you. Band was placed yesterday morning at 7:30. Went like clockwork. Worried for no reason at all. Now I can't wait for the discomfort to go away. -

Maria, the liquid diet was difficult, especially the last two days...I wanted meat in a bad way. But I struggled through, and you know what it was worth it. My surgery took place yesterday morning at 7:30 am and went off without a hitch. -
