A sauna suit really just makes you lose Water weight. You will gain most of it back when you drink after the workout. It will cause you to burn a few more calories because you are basically overheating yourself, but I doubt the benefits are that good. It might make you retain more water and not lose weight at all.

The only thing that really gave me any trouble was lo mein noodles. Rice, Pasta, Tortillas, and fruit skins have not been a problem. I did get a fill on 3/13, so I am retrying everything. But so far so good. I haven't really tried alot of bread other than flat breads.

When did people start to notice?

I get that alot too. At first it was nice, but know it is getting annoying. It is nice that they are interested though. -
When did people start to notice?
Mechbandster replied to megster27's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd say 25-30 Lbs I started to get comments about me losing weight. Mostly the: " Have you lost wieght? You look good." It was when I hit about 50Lbs that I started to get the surprise comments and shocked looks. Especially if people hadn't seen me for awhile. -
Went in for another check up and to set up a fill. I have lost 14Lbs since my last check up on Feb 5. I was thankful that the doctor decided to hold off on a fill. I go in for another check up in two weeks. I am pleasantly surprised about not needing a fill, but still losing wait. I am down 42Lbs since starting the pre opt diet. Only 17Lbs away from the 300Lbs mark which is my first goal. Has any other Jan bandster gone in and not needed a fill yet? Good luck to all.

productive burp( like vomiting except without the stomach bile) Sliming is kind of the same thing, but its mostly mucus.

Mine stick out alittle, but not nearly as noticable as yours. When I look down, it looks like one side of me belly as shrunk more than the other. I think it is one of those things that you will get use to, then all of a sudden it is gone one day.

Went to the Doc Last Friday and was still losing, but they recommended I get a fill anyway. I have noticed that I can eat more than 4oz at a time. My first fill will be tomorrow. They are doing it under xray with the barium(sp?). I am alittle worried that I will get too much of a fill and that will wreck my momentum of losing weight. I am about 5Lbs away from my 1st goal of breaking the 300 Lbs mark. I really want to get to that goal. I'm nervous that I will start to PB and slime( something that I have not even come close to doing). I guess we will see. I did have to go to Wal Mart and buy new pants. The old ones wouldn't even come close to fitting anymore. That brightened my day!:w00t:

I was banded 1/30 and had my first booze last weekend. I was a big beer drinker before being banded, so I am still kind of searching for a replacement drink. I like rum, but only certain brands are good by themselves. I don't crave beer as much as I thought I would since the surgery. I missed it alittle when I was out at a concert last weekend, but some of that is because I was drinking some crap rum that tasted horrible. You have to watch out because it takes a WHOLE lot less to affect you then it did before the surgery.

I agree. I seem to still be losing, so I am happy.

Losing in all the right places??
Mechbandster replied to paritam's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am about the same as you are. I was banded 1/30, and have lost about 26 since then. I still wear the same pants as before, but they have gotten alot more loose. If you were like me, you were probably wearing pants that were too small for you before the band. I am just starting to get to the point were the pants will have to go soon. Have you needed to move a notch on the belt? -
Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. I really appreciate it. Today was my scale day and I was down about two pounds. Its probably because of the different scales and not being in my birthday suit at the doctors, but it still brightens my day.

2 weeks post op and no appetite
Mechbandster replied to Chicky abby's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am the same way about immediate restriction. I was banded 1/30 and I am already on solids. I rarely get hungry anymore. I still have to drink two shakes a day so I get plenty of calories. With three meals and two shakes I barely get 800 calories. I didn't expect this but love it. I'm down 40Lbs since the pre op diet. -
Been hovering in this forum for a couple of months, just felt I should join today. I was banded on Jan 30. Had no complications or pain. I'm already on mush/soft foods because the doc said I was doing so good. Lost 32lbs since the pre op diet until today. Feel really good and already have lots more energy.
