    Fills In Cincinnati Area

I am seeing Dr. C, Dr. Trace Curry tomorrow at 5:00 pm for my first fill. He seems like a wonderful, caring surgeon. He's been so good about answering questions. His first fill is 300.00 (that's what they quoted me) then 150.00 after that. Here is his info: Dr. Trace Curry 330 Straight Street Suite 401 Cincinnati, Oh. 45219 326-559-1222 Here is his website: www.thebanddoctor.com email: info@thebanddoctor.com I think you would be very pleased with him in MHO.

    Stretched Port Muscle

I reached in the back of my carseat to pick up a gallon of milk from the front seat instead of getting out of the car and going around to the back door. It hurt like crap. It stung like a bad bee sting and was sore to tie my shoes or bend over. It lasted a couple of days and is now all better. That's exactly what it sounds like to me.

Maybe a little TMI (toot toot)

Me too, But I think it's soooo cooool. My husband was always just cutting rugs and I would grunt and grunt and moan. Buddy, now I can stay right there with him and he'll just look at me with this weird kind of amazement. Hey, we've been married 25 years, got to think of something fun. LOL

    Questions about Mexico

Well I agree and disagree, I wanted to make sure I had a couple of people lined up just in case and I live in Kentucky for Lord's sake, land of nowhere. Every single surgeon I called would take Mexican Banded Patients. I am using Dr. Curry but there were several that said yes right off the bat. I wouldn't let that scare me and I can't imagine living somewhere where there is something. LOL

I've been gone a long time......

I love the name Isabella. My daughter just gave us our first grandbaby and I wanted her to name her Isabella so bad but instead it's Briana which now I love to. Good luck on your new baby and your new go at marriage. I've been married to my husband for 25 years and we still have our days where we could walk out and not look back so I think everyone does you just have to keep on keeping on as my Dad tells me. Don't worry about your weight, taking care of dh and 2 children and the band it will all come off.

Surgery next Friday and have a question

I lost 21 in the first 17 days so I guess I was losing more than a pound a day but then, when restriction has started getting less I'm automatically eating more, don't get my first fill until Tuesday and I'm only losing about 2 pounds a week right now and too I'm still healing so I'm not concentrating on losing it just happens.
  10. Okay, Call me stupid, but I don't get my first fill until Tuesday and you all know how I've stressed how afraid I am of this slimming called stuff and pbing, so call me stupid but what in the hell is a backward looking dog or whatever. I may need to do this some time if I can get my big butt in a certain position.
  11. Take that over the counter medicine for a cold. I can't remember the name and it's more expensive than the tylenol or any of that stuff, zicam or something. I would try everything, because even if you can get your date changed, there's the flights, time off and all of that. Good luck and keep us informed.

    Why I did it

How precious, That is the cutest picture and I agree, I would do it over in a minute as well. I think the band had changed so many of our lives. Congrats on the beautiful grandbaby, I have one granddaughter and she'll be one on Sept. 19, 2006 and she's our life.

    Can you eat chicken?

I tell you how I do mine and I have no trouble at all. We have a supermarket so I have my husband go to the meat department and take a boneless, skinless, chicken breast and run in into the tenderizer machine 2 of 3 times. By then, it's just falling apart tender then I lightly fry it and then sometimes on top of that I will take french dressing and pour over the fried chicken breasts and bake for about 30 min and viola you have chicken monterey and it is delic. Try it with or without the dressing and you'll love it.

    Christmas Lovers Thread

Hey Amy, Sorry to hear about your laptop. They put a whole new 18.1 in. lcd screen and lid thing on mine for 376.00 and that was including labor. I also went to sam's and bought one while they were fixing mine that has 80 gig and 16.0 screen and is as nice as my gateway for like 599.00. If yours is going to cost a lot it might be cheaper to get a new one. I know my sister inlaw ruined they'res with water and had to ditch it. Did you get your sauce yet. I mailed it about 5 or 6 days ago. You should have it by now. Let me know if you guys like it and when you get low on it I'll send you some more. I had to make 9 gallons last night and I have 120 bottles to fill tongiht. We have a huge catering job Saturday with close to 200 people, yuck. Oh well, Just wanted to see if you'd gotten yet and sorry to hear about your laptop. I'm down just one pound this week. Thank the good Lord I'm scheduled for a fill Tuesday. It'll be my first and I'm more nervous for it, lots more than I was the surgery. Everyone pray for me, I'm a nervous wreck. Sherri Jo

Gone For Good Club- August 2006

H265 S262 J262 C241 G145 I think I've lost one more pound but has just about stopped. I guess that's 21 pounds so far. I can't wait to get fill next Tuesday, (had to schedule one week early, eating too much) I called and rescheduled it. Dr. Curry says he like to be aggresive on the first fill 2cc's and then sneak up on sweet spot from there. Come on weight loss. Sherri

FUN- What diets have you tried ?

Let sees, maybe we should do this in alphabetical order, lOL Ayds, but I liked the caramel ones Deal A Meal- still have mine, hoping will be a collector's item Metabolife Phentermine Phen Phen Grapefruit diet Dexatrim Trim Spa Weight Watchers-about 6 times Nutri System-about 4 times Michael something another phase diet I'm sure there's more but those alone would have probable paid for the trip to Mexico and the band.
  17. I have been doing great. Weight loss has been great but sure slowing down this week. I go at 4 weeks for my first feel but what could be wrong. I'm such a bitch the last couple of days. I get nervous easy, everyone is getting on my nerves, I just want to take my laptop and run off. I'm not kidding. My period was due to start the day I got banded so I'm more than 3 weeks late do you think my hormones are going crazy. I ask my husband what he thought and his response was, get this, Well you know how those hormones are, if you don't pay them they moan. I could have killed him. I'm really suffering here, I didn't even walk today, just withdrawn and depressed. I don't take anything for depression but I sure feel it today. It's like every since surgery I'm been on a happy high and today and yesterday I fell, and fell hard. Any suggestions,

    My 3rd degree burns

I'm fine now and you can ask Amy you can barely tell where this happened. They use the skin off of your lower back. That and the debreiding were pure hell. It's been over 2 years now. I thought it was 3 but It has been 2. I've had neck and back surgery from a car wreck, and foot surgery to heel spur removed and now the band surgery since then. I'm tired of surgeries. I literally wanted to die during this. No matter how much morphine, deladid or what they give you it doesn't phase you. Thanks for all of your well wishes. I heal up well. Even my scar stage pics looked great. My skin really does heal well thank God. Love you all,

    Nervous

Don't be nervous, it's not worth it because it is such a breeze. I've had 4 surgeries and this was a walk in the park. I started looking into this and from the day I started to the day of surgery was only 5 weeks or so. It is life altering and I was at 262 and 3 weeks later I'm at 241. Please don't give into your fears. You'll be so glad you went through it. I have pics I could show you of me minutes after surgery, next day, next week, now if you would like to see them. Good luck on your decision, but I wished I'd had mine done years ago.
