Musical, I don't remember yanking your chain, you just need to grow up sweetie, get banded and then go from there. Why the new ones, not all now, there's just always a couple of newbies that love to stir. Really gets on my nerves. Just worry about your band sweetie pie and if I want something from you I'll ask.

New here, 15 months postop!
beachgirl replied to alohajenn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I give it to you in layman's terms: go to www.tickerfactory.com and pick out what you want and when you get to the last page go to the first one and copy it, but only copy from the letters img to the last letters img, nothing else. Then go to user cp and go to edit signature, go down to the bottom of the page and right click paste and then hit save signature and viola. -
Well, I've been on here a long time and I hate it when some people get on here who are new, probably couple of months, usually not even banded, and been able to vote maybe 3 of 4 years if they're lucky and act like they know the difference between Dems and Rebuplicans. I won't wast e my time with you. You just LOVE arguments and I just don't have the time. So, when you grow up, learn some things, get banded, give me a yell until then leave me the hell alone. I won't be back to this immature, uninvolved, worthless, uninspring, useless thread. There, fight with someone else. Older, Banded, Rebulican and know what I'm talking about.

Colin Powell and John Mc Cain would have to be my choice. I just wouldn't a potty mouty for my President that's all. If you would take the time to check these out they're very accurate. I wasn't trying to start anything. I've been on this board a long time and I know how some people just love to start agurments over stuff. I was just researching and found this, that is all, that is it. It someone has some things from John McCain or Colin Powell, I'm very openminded and would love to research those as well. My Brotherinlaw is Congressman Linday Casbier, and he sends me lots of things to research that are accurate.

What is your current fill in your 4cc band?
beachgirl replied to Paulax's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've been happily banded now for 7 months and have 2.7cc's in my 4cc's, 9.75inamed lowprofile band and am so close to sweetspot if not on it that it's not even funny. It is working at it's optimal right now. Will update ticker when I have a good solid weight again. -
Can someone talk to me about Lap-band?
beachgirl replied to ATRAVOLTA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes, Read, read, and read somemore. I know that my surgeon, Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Zapata have done more than 7000 each and never, ever, lost a patient and complications rate is below 1 percent and that could be anything from waking up slowly, having trouble breathing or just anything minor. Don't be afraid, we were all in your shoes at one time or another. I had a brand new first grandchild and had never been to Mexico in my life and I just had faith that everything would be fine and sure enough, not the first problem. You'll do great. -
Does your doctor's scale weigh you heavier than at home???
beachgirl replied to Sunta's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yep, Not by much but usually 4 pounds or so. I bought the weight watchers scales online, they were about 69.00 dollars and they are the most accurate I've ever weighed on. I really recommend them. -
South of the border? Am I crazy to even concider that?
beachgirl replied to toolman tim's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It was fabulous. I had never even been to Mexico and don't speak a word of English. I contacted www.ready4achange.com and they take care of every single step for you. They email you the paperwork, book your flights, Dr. Zapata does your surgery and he's done more than 7000. He trained in Houston and has proctored many US Surgeons. They provide surgery, preop testing, all transportation and your food while your they're. All hospital charges, your stay the night before surgery, and two nights after, and free fills for life. They are wonderful. 8500.00 for everything and right now there's a special with 7500.00 for everything. You can be in and have your surgery within 2 weeks if you want it that soon, that's what I did. PM me if you have any questions. Oh, he does his surgeries at Santa Agracias Hospital which is a full huge, hospital with trauma unit, same place President Bush would go if he needed hospital while in Mexico, not a clinic where a lot of people use. -
Las Vegas-specific but something for all Mexican Bandsters to consider.
beachgirl replied to ivansmom's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I've never heard of such. I too had my surgery in Mexico and I see Dr. Curry. He charged I believe 250 or 300.00 first fill then 150.00 after that and is probably the best in the world I would imagine. -
Okay, I'm 5 hours from home and just got a slight fill today by Dr. Curry and my daughter, whom her husband and her gave us our first grandchild, little girl, 18 months ago calls me while I'm in Louisville traffic and said "Mom, are you sitting down and I said, Yes, I'm driving and she tells me I'm going to be Granny again in 7 months". I am so excited I just had to share my news. I'm sitting at the hotel just bouncing off the walls. Just had to share with all my friends, and the fill went great, now have 2.7 cc's in 4cc band so I guess I better slow down the fills before I run out of room, lol.

Thank you for the info, I just signed up. I've wanted to do this for a long time but didn't know how to go about it. Thank you for posting this.
-
Dr. C, I looked at your site as soon as I left your office and it looks great. Oh, and my fill is doing fine so far, thank you so much for being my doctor, I really appreciate you, and what you do and everyone in your office. Thanks again, without you this wouldn't be possible for me.

Just found out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beachgirl replied to beachgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you all so much, I just couldn't contain myself. I didn't think I could ever love another one like I do the only one we have right now but just her telling me she was 9 weeks along has doubled the size of my heart. -
anyone familar with medical grade superglue?
beachgirl replied to silry's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what I had, no stitches or staples just the glue and you can barely even see my scars. My surgeon told me to NOT use the scar remedy stuff until after 4-6 weeks after surgery. He told me that the day of surgery. I now use mederma when I think about it but scars are very small and light. -
Gagging on breathing tube post-op?
beachgirl replied to hopeful07's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, I've had 6 surgeries including my bandsugery and never woken up with a tube. I'm so proud I've never experienced that. So sorry you had to. -
Mexico Surgery without Coordinator?
beachgirl replied to Kleigh830's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Go to www.ready4achange.com, and you can talk with Judy, Alma, or anyone on there and they are absolutely wonderful. Dr. Zapata has done more than 7000 lapbands, has less than 1% complication rate and never lost a patient. They will keep in contact with you daily and arrange every single step of the way. They are the best in my opinion. I've been banded since July. Pm me if you would like. -
Anyone fly 6 hours after surgery??
beachgirl replied to TRANAM1955's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, you should be fine. I flew to Monterrey a few months ago for mine and had to fly back after surgery to Houston, then board another plane to Nashville, then 3 hour drive home and did great. No problems whatsoever. -
I'm Scared - Something is going wrong - HELP PLEASE
beachgirl replied to My_o_My's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yep, I concur with everyone else. I would be at the Doctor's office as soon as possible for a slight unfill and then would do liquids for a couple of days. -
Is coke really off the list for good?
beachgirl replied to jport1975's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dr. Curry who takes care of complications on this site is my doc and we will tell you that there is no definite proof of this harming our bands. That your stomach is a muscle and it will not affect it and he says we can have them if we want but I just could care less about them he just says the caffiene is not good because it triggers hunger. Just according to your doctor but they've showed me were there is no proof so if I did want one it wouldn't worry me a bit, I just don't want one. I am self pay too and have over 16,000.00 invested so I wouldn't do anything to mess mine up but I trust my surgeon 100 %. -
I went to Mexico so I didn't have to have any but I've heard some of the tests done here in the states are chest x-ray, bloodwork, sometimes stress test, sometimes the test where they look around down in your throat, I forget what that is called but I don't think that is done very often. Mainly just minor stuff from what I can remember. I am sure someone else will chime in and have more. Good luck with your journey, you'll love you band. I've been banded for a little over 7 months.
