  1. Happy 48th Birthday ja9rhone!

  2. I was banded on 2-3-09. I have averaged 8-10lbs every month except last month. I suffered a great lost with the unexpected death of my mother. She was my very best friend and biggest supporter. She is the one who convinced me to have this surgery. I had not had a fill since June so when I went to my last appointment and had only lost 2lbs they gave me a fill. I am now back on track and seeing a therapist to deal with my grief without turning to food. As of today I am down 89lbs with 54lbs to get to my goal. Has anyone else had to deal with the death of a loved one while on this journey? If so I would love to hear how you are staying focused. My greatest supporter is gone. I need all the help I can get.
  3. I was banded 2/3/09 and I have lost 53lb so far. I am now able to wear 20-22 down from a very tight 26. I feel so much better and I have a lot more energy. I really had a lot of knee pain before surgery and now I have hardly any. I still need to have my knee replaced, but I have bought myself some more time with the weight loss. Getting my lap-band was the best decision I have ever made. I still have another 100lbs to loose, but I feel this time I can actually get there!

    Time for a Change

Oh my gosh I just love reading everything you write. However until today I did not realize you were not banded yet. Good luck with your surgery and I will keep watch for your next blog!

    to the future.....CHRGE!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading your blog. You are very funny. The things that I find most appealing on a man is their butts. Full and round with the indention on each side, however I do not think just anyone can get that kind of butt with just working out. Another thing that is a real turn on is a nice muscular back to where there is an indention down the spine. The most attractive thing is the eyes and believe it or not a nice funny personality. I don't think anyone want to be with any man that is always thinking about himself. BTW congratulations on all your hard work and weight loss. I am not quite 3 weeks post op. I cannot wait to get to where you are now. Keep up the great work. And remember the kind of woman you need to impress is the kind that like/loves you for what you are on the inside. Good Luck

    Pre-assessed and Pre-approved

I try to read everything you post. You are a very funny man and a very good writer. Thanks for the laughs and good luck!
  7. I see Malley at 11:00 maybe we will run in to each other. I have not gone back to work yet. The last 2 day I have been in bed with a fever & chills. I called Malley's office yesterday and they ordered me some antibiotics. I believe I have broncitis because my husband got sick the day before my surgery and finally went to the doctors last Sunday and that is what he has. I feel a little better today, but I am not sleeping well at all. I guess I will not return to work until Monday now.
  8. Go to somebody's entry that has the ticker and click on it. It will take you to a site where you can make your own. After that you have to copy and paste the link back into your profile signature area. I had to have my 14 year old daughter help me with this. If you have any trouble I will get her to help us. I hope that helps! Congratulations on the weight lost. I have been stuck at my pre-surgery weight lost. I guess I am not consuming enough and my body may be in starvation mode.
  9. I have found that I like the soy proteins better than any of the others. Even the unflavored Unjuny brand has a funny smell to it. I don't think the soy smells bad and I think that makes them easier to drink.
  10. I live about 1 hour from Malley's office. I will see him for the first post-op visit on the 13th. I have been really tired. I thought I would go back to work Tues but I think I may take one more day. I feel like I have had the flu. It seems like it is taking me forever to get my energy back.
  11. I was banded on 2/3/09 and other than being really tired and some gas pain, all is going well. I am supposed to return to work on Tues but I am thinking about taking another day to rest. Are others out there extremely tired too?
  12. this is a test to see if my ticker goes on
  13. can you tell me how to add my weight ticker?
  14. I have been taking pills since the day of surgery. My doctor told me to use the plain M&M rule. If the pill is smaller than an M&M it should not be a problem. Did your doctor give you any liquid pain reliever? That my help with the headache.
  15. Hello, I was banded by Dr Malley on Feb 3. It was really nice finding others who were banded that day. I have felt very weak and have had a lot of gas. I am still taking my liquid pain reliever and a lot of Mallox liquid. I have a lot of discomfort between my breast. The nurse at Dr Malley's office tells me that is my band and that I am probably just have swelling from the surgery. I have not been really hungry, but my stomach growels all the time. Today I thinned down some potato Soup in the blender and had that. It tasted really good to have something that wasn't completely runny. Before surgery I lost 16lbs on the pre-op diet. Since that time I have not lost any. I believe my body is in starvation mode. I would really like to hear more from the others that had surgery the same day.
