    gaining weight

Everybody's bodies are different. When I made the change from all liquid diet to mushies and back to regular solid foods I didn't lose any weight at all. I didn't gain any either but my body held solid for a good 3 weeks before I lost 2 lbs. I say give your body 2 more weeks but make sure you are eating healthy foods. If you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing, eating the foods you are supposed to and even doing light exercise your body will give in and you will begin to lose.

    first day after

Congrats! You will get through it. Get creamy Soups as they will help fill you up better. Just do lots of walking. That will help get the gas out.
  3. congrats! That is so awesome!
  4. 1 more day! You nervous, excited, both? I didn't get nervous until the morning of. I was excited and soooo rady.

  5. For me the decision was simple. I did not want anyone slicing and dicing my insides and rerouting them where they are not meant to be rerouted. That was my deciding factor. Plus there are alot less complications involved with the LB. Good luck with your decision!
  6. I would get your fill. Obviously the PB incident was an accident. You knew the bite you swallowed was too big, things like that are going to happen. Under normal circumstances it wouldn't of happened. So I say go for it!

Help please! Nightime eating out of control

Try keeping a fruit salad on hand. I find that's helping me with my sugar cravings. That way when you want to snack you are snacking on something healthy. Also weight watchers has ice cream and ice cream bars that are pretty awesome and not bad for you either. Also, air popped pop corn is good for you. I guess what i'm saying is try to make your evening Snacks a little more healthier and then eventually try cutting them out. Don't go cold turkey!

    Nauseated HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a really hard time getting Protein shakes down after my surgery. Maybe try carnation instant Breakfast see if that helps.
  11. That's cool. I hope my insurance company covers that when the time comes. I would love to get a boob lift too! Ahh well. We can't always get what we want. Take care! ttyl!

  12. Hey! Thanks for the pic comments I appreciate it! Excuse my ignorance but what's a panniculectomy? Is it covered by your insurance?

    Help! Help! Need Some Advice

Hey don't get down on yourself. Everybody's body looses weight differently! I would go and get another fill. You should stay on top of your fills that way you get the most effectiveness out of your lapband. Make sure you eat a protein heavy diet and avoid any "slider" foods. Also, make sure you start some kind of exercise program. Whether it's light walking or whatnot that will help you feel better physically as well as help with more weight loss. YOu will get there! Just keep it up.
  14. Thank you! Now only if my butt and thighs catch up with the rest of me I'll be much happier!

    Help!

Thank you! This will be my 1st time as a MOH so I'm nervous! Right now just trying to be a really supportive friend. it's going to be crazy hopefully the seamstress is experienced in major alterations! I don't want to order a size smaller because if for whatever reason I don't lose the weight then it would be too tight and possibly won't fit. Boy oh boy why couldn't she just wait a year, it wouldn't be that much of an issue then! lol.

Good luck on your new journey! LB is a great tool to help you lose weight!

    just got a referral

Wow that's awesome that you've lost that much with WW. Welcome to lbt. I've been banded for 3 1/2 months now and I'm 1 lb shy of 50 lbs lost. I've never felt better in my life. I eat so much healthier and i'm so much more active than ever! There are some rules that you do have to follow with the lap band. One of them is giving up pop. I don't know how much pop you drink but for me giving it up was really hard. Other than that the procedure is a pretty easy one. You are in and out of the hospital within a day. You are fairly uncomfortable the first 4 days or so then you are better. I only missed 3 days of work. Everybody's body's react differently with the lap band. That I have learned. Good luck with your journey! HOpe it's a great one for you.
  19. I would just walk as much as you can handle. It was January/February when I had my surgery so it was much too cold, snowy and icy out so I just walked in my house for about 5 mins at a time.

    Having surgery tomorrow and scared!

Good luck tomorrow! That's so cool. You will be uncomfortable afterwards but they can give you some drugs for that. Make sure as soon as you are able to you get up and walk, walk, walk. That's always the best thing you can do.
  21. When I was on my liquid diet I lost 5 lbs a week drinking 4 shakes and eating 1 lean cuisine per day. Good luck trying to lose 30 lbs by then! Hopefully you can do it!
  22. When I was doing my pre-testing I only told my mom and my best friend. I didn't tell everyone else until I had my surgery date scheduled. Then I told my other friends and co-workers. Now that i've had surgery I don't really say anything to anybody I just tell them it's from changing my eating habits and exercising. Everyone i've met has been really supportive and nobody's ever been negative.

My Band Slipped "Help" me Please

What does your doctor say? I'm sure there are some tricks they can try to get your band to slip into place. I'm sure your insurance company would pay for a replacement, just call them. Hopefully it will slip back on its own and you won't have to have the procedure done again. Good luck!
  24. You are probably swollen from the strep throat. I would wait until you are healed from the strep before calling for an unfill.
  25. lol. Isn't it amazing what it's done to your self esteem? Do you think you'll need plastic surgery at all?
