  1. Are you making sure you take your supplements? Wow loss of appetite. Lucky you. Well just make sure when you do eat that you get plenty of Protein and nutrients. Is your doctor ok with what you're doing? What does he/she say about it? I had a brief loss of appetite shortly after my surgery but of course it came back. Also, make sure when you make your CIB that maybe you mix in fruit with it. That's a good way for you to get those nutrients.
  2. It feels like you sat down and ate a big old Thanksgiving dinner minus the really uncomfortable, sleepy feeling afterward.

    A bag of sugar

You are so right. I have to remove myself from the day-to-day weigh ins and look at what i'm losing each month. I've lost 10 lbs since Easter. By the end of summer I will probably be down 20 more pounds.

    Walking my dog

After about 2 weeks I was good. By then I had my staples removed and I wasn't sore.

    First fill yesterday

You probably won't feel much restriction at this point. My 1st fill was 4cc's and while I got fuller a little faster I really didn't have much restriction. I have 6cc's now and while I definitely have a bit more restriction it's still not much.

    Fun Goals...

I think I may get a tattoo. I definitely want a breast lift and a tummy tuck but I still have a long way to go in the weight loss department.

    Throwing Up Blood

Uh yea. you shouldn't be throwing up 3 times a day. That's not good for you. Your band is probably too tight. Please make an appointment with your doctor and let him know what's going on. Good luck.
  15. It's going to take some time to adjust that's why they start out slow. Let your body adjust to your 3cc's and in the meantime really watch what you eat and make sure you work out good. You will still drop off some weight before summer.

Am I too fat for the band?

Liking meat is a good thing with the band. Bandster rules are protein first, then veggies/fruits then complex carbs. It will just let you eat less. You will get fuller much faster. I was 313 lbs at the start of my journey now I'm down to 263 and it's only been 3 1/2 months.

    Stupid mistake 8-days post op!!

I think you'll be just fine! I went onto mushy foods within 10 days instead of 14 and I'm doing just fine.

First solid meal was not a good experience

Try soft vegetables and chicken. If that doesn't work then I would wait another week or so before trying them again. Good luck!
  21. I think sometimes if people have alot of weight to lose they get the GB because they lose it faster than if they get the LB even though after about 3 years everything evens out. Maybe LB wasn't an option for them. Maybe their insurance only covered GB and not LB. There are alot of complications with GB. Even with out the LB GB would never be an option for me.
