  1. I just joined a very small gym. 1st workout yesterday, lasted 30min on a treadmill and am happy with that.

Start any work out with small victories that way you can say to yourself "I did it", even if it is only 10 mins.

I would start doing your training sooner than later, by March you will be ready. You will have lost 45lbs by then and you are already used to hauling that around anyway, just get your lungs and heart ready!

    Good luck.

  2. Hi Guys!

Well, I find myself not losing or losing a pound and gaining 1/2 pound back. I plan on being even more strict starting tomorrow (Mon).

Have had a knot/uncomfortable feeling right below my boobs in the middle. Ate some nuts by accident(thought I could have them at this point) and drank some wine on NYE (Bad, I know) and am now wondering if that is why I have this feeling.

  3. I think it maybe over..the stall I mean. Down this morning 5 lbs...but my scale is up and down. Saw my Nut and Dr. yesterday. He was great, said I look good. She, the NUT was a Debbie Downer! I told her my goal and she said I would not reach it. Well, thank you Miss Positive Pants. She said to expect the average of 60% of excess weight and that a lot if people are still very over weight even after WLS. I think she is wrong...I hope she is wrong!

Jacqbult, I am so sorry about your puppy. You must be so sad. *hugs*

Shadow, nice poetry girl! I LIKE it!

It would seem my stall is breaking:

    12/7, 252.4

    12/8, 252.2

    12/9, 251

    12/10, 250.4

    12/11, 250

Yay! I was thinking my husband's postsurgery weight loss was nice and steady with no staying the same or going up, but I was wrong. I looked through his journal and he was doing the same thing I've been doing at 2 weeks out. There is hope! The scale will move in the right direction again! Press on, be of good courage!

It also helps that I got to eat mashed potatoes yesterday. I haven't figured out anything else to add now that I'm on pureeds. Any ideas?

R U on pureed yet. I pureed a turkey meatball with sauce and the ate that with melted cheese. I am not sure how much my "Tinkerbelly" will hold. I have been nauseous so it is hard to tell which is food or just the yucky feeling

  5. I am in a stall too. 241. for the past few days. I can't get my Protein in so that is a issue, really going to work on that. Plus my puppy died a week ago and I have been so depressed that I have not done anything. He was a 7 month old Mastiff and had some kinds of heart attack in his sleep. I started my mushy diet today. Got to get my head hunger under control. Thinking of a Hypnosis.

We will keep our eye on the prize my friends...so we will be losing again. Also, if you come up with a good recipe please share!

I am two weeks out. The first couple of days I felt like death. I came out of the General anesthetic really badly and could breathe very well and almost ended up in ICU - I did have a slight cold though so that probably didn't. I still get very nauseous in the AM and was allowed to start puree's yesterday. But the puree's get stuck no matter how small a bite and how slow I eat.

I am in Australia and I still marvel at how in the USA you are only in overnight there was no way I was capable of leaving the next day I couldn't eat or drink for about 3 days! I was in for 3 nights ( common practice in Australia) and they tried to keep me for another night! Also with our private health insurance they don't question your comorbidities or BMI if you are covered by insurance (or prepared to pay) you can have the operation. Also our process is quick I went to a talk by a surgeon and five weeks later I had my operation!

Yet another reason I loved Australia!! Loved everything about it when I was there. The only other country I would be happy to live in!

I can't wait to get there

I am almost in tears to read this post .I am relieved! I am out 5 days and feel like shit (sorry). I spoke with the 2 people who had this and between them and the forum I was NOT prepared for how I am feeling. I had to spend 3 nights in Hospital b/c of getting sick. The Gas pains are horrid but I keep in mind, this momentary discomfort feels a lot better then dying early! So glad to know it does get better. I even do feel a bit better today.
