My lapband journey actually started because I went to a meeting with a friend..in Feb 2009.  I thought I was just going to check it out.. Then the dr office checked my insurance benefits and everything started rolling.  I submitted lots of paperwork, psych eval, and then the insurance denied me.. So I took my time jumping through the hoops mostly because I thought it would lead to another deniel.. But I completed 6mos dr supervised diet in June 2010.. Insurance Finally approved me in July.. Surgery was set for Aug 23.  I couldnt believe it.  I wish I would of completed everything sooner.  But tomorrow is my big day and its a new beginning.
