Down one more lb this week. I'll take it. Have a good week everyone! Take care

Hi La Dawn, Welcome to our group. How amazing your weight loss is. You will find we have a great group where everyone is very supportive. As you can see we share all kinds of stuff, and it's so great to have others to share this experience with. Take care

Finally down one lb this week. I keep going up and down. It's so frustrating to lose so slowly. Hang in there everyone.
-
Ann what you have accomplished is amazing. As far as the sizes go, my understanding is the more expensive the clothing, the smaller it is. I remember reading that somewhere. I have several size 14 pants that fit, and several that don't. I would think that it is definately the style and the designer. I have a great pair of slacks, size 14, that I never wore. There Talbots, and they are the smallest 14 I have. So maybe what I read is true. I'm just glad I am wearing some 14's even though this is going a lot slower that I expected. I keep telling myself over and over; patience, patience.

Help! No loss since July...& now gaining...

Jennifer I wanted to get back to you on some of the things I eat, but had to stop this morning. Since I am at work, I figured I better do a little. fish (try adding spices and squeezed fruit juice on it, same for veggies), string cheese, salmon and tuna cups, Smart Ones, low calorie Soup. Last night I ate a can of Progresso Ministrone soup with shrimp I threw in for dinner. Packets of instant oatmeal, english muffins, boiled eggs chopped and smashed. salad with low cal or fat dressing, (try adding fruit to salad) fruit, yogurt, apple sauce. turkey wraps with mustard and veggies and maybe low fat cheese. Scrambled eggs with veggies, especially spinich and mushrooms. When I eat in restaurants which is often, I order fish and veggies or chicken and veggies, or salads with fish or chicken. Fast food is KFC grilled chicken (remove skin) and their green Beans, the little wraps at Mcdonalds or Wendys. Wendys also has good low calorie chile. The best thing I use is "I can't believe it's not butter spray. I cook with it and replace it everywhere I would use butter or margerine. That's a lot of places for me. I still have to make sure I get enough Protein and I cut everything very small and chew, chew, chew. Good luck to you. We are all working together to ge to the same place. Take care -

What I have found during the last almost 8 months is that the band allows me to eat small amounts of food without being hungry all of the time. What it does not do for me is choose what I eat. That's the hard part. I try to eat 1200 calories a day, but if I am honest with myself. I go over most of the time. Also, I eat really good food most of the time, but not all of the time. I have lost 45 lbs since 5/28 I also thought it would be faster. I am sure it would be if I stuck to 1200 cals and the right food ALL of the time. Unfortunately, it is still about choice. Everything I learned about eating healthy still has to apply. That's the fact I have learned. I still have to work really hard at this. Even if I had some of the problems I have read about I would still think this is the best choice I have ever made. I still have a long ways to go but a size 14 petite beats the heck out of a woman's 20 anyday. -
Still holding at 167. Good luck to everyone this week.

8 months banded and I'm still learning

Thanks everyone for posting. Great information, especially for those still confused about restriction. I do have some restriction now. Since my last fill I have come very close to getting stuck a couple of times. I do have to cut everything up small and chew well. If I do, I can still eat anything. I can chug Water, and I can eat way more than a cup if I want to, that's the part that confuses me. I count calories and try no to overeat. I do hiccup when I am full now. Funny, I have trouble with soft stuff, like yogurt, apple sauce and mashed potatoes. I probably take larger bites because I don't have to chew it up. I have 7cc's in a 9cc band. You would think I would be getting there by now. Everyone is so different. It really helps to hear how you guys are doing. -

I hear ya. We are just about in the same place. I have lost 45 now, but it is very slow. As of 12/21, I also have 7cc's in the 9cc band. I know I eat too much, so I am trying to see how I feel after really only eating a small amount. After the last fill, I finally have some restriction. I almost had something stuck for the first time, and I have to wait for things to go down. FINALLY! This is not a fast as I had hoped, but it's still moving in the right direction. Hang in there. That's what I keep telling myself too. -
Oh yes, I will be dropping off 4 huge bags of clothing at the local thrift shop tonight. All Woman's size. I am only 5'1" it is so hard to find short Woman's sizes. Thank goodness I am back in the petite section. By the way Ann. Good for you on the style of clothing, and boots. Go strutt your stuff. ha ha

Thanks for the positive thoughts Ann. I am up a little, and getting down on myself for not losing fast enough. On the good side, I am wearing a size 14 today, WOO HOO!!! I have several huge containers of clothing I will go through this weekend. All are size 12 and 14. COOL.

Hi guys. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I hit my lowest weight after having a fill on Monday only to go up three lbs over the holiday. OMG.. Back to reality today for sure. Good luck to everyone this week.
-
Up a few ounces this week. I hope the fill on Monday helps. Ten lbs in three months is not fast enough for me. Good luck to everyone next week. Happy Holidays!
-
Congrats. Dani. What a wonderful accomplishment.

Well Expresco303, I hear you on the Sees Candy. I am from CA and I really miss it in PA. My Sister-in-Law ordered some, and being sweet, she gave me a box. I took it to a party because I knew over a few days, I would eat the whole thing. I did eat three pieces. Enough, my weight loss is already too slow. I really hope my next fill (Monday) helps.
-
Good to hear you are doing better John. Down one lb this week. Slow but sure. Hopefully after my next fill this will move along faster. Good luck to everyone next week. Happy Holidays
-
Down a little this week, 169.4 and past the half way mark. Scheduled 3rd fill for 12-21. That should help. Good luck to everyone next week.. You guys are amazing.

I think I baked the apple on 400 for about 30 min.
-
How funny, I baked an apple just last week-end. I used i can't believe it's not butter spray (no calories) and Splenda mixed with cinn. It was really good and no calories except the apple.
