I had my surgery on December 7th, 2009. On November 9th I started my pre-op diet all together I have lost 39.5 lbs., three clothing size and around 7 points off my BMI. I had my first fill on Feb. 9th he put in 4cc and I'm on clear liquids for the next 72 hours. Would not change a thing best thing I have ever done for myself. Just make sure that you do what your doctor tells you to do. Good luck it is wonderful to lose the weight.:rolleyes2: Not sure how to update the tickerfactory.com

Hi there I was banded on Dec. 7th,2009 and you are right it is life changing. It took 11 months to have my insurance approval and I'm so glad that they did. I was just this week able to start exercise and I never thought that I could get up at 4:20 a.m. and go and get in a swimming pool but by Friday I was looking forward to it. I also feel better the rest of the day. When were you banded? Keep up the good work.:smile2:

Well I had my surgery on Dec.7th,2009 I spent one night in the hospital. I had lost 15lbs on my 4 week pre-surgery diet. So since I started that on November 9th until now I have lost 39.5 lbs, two dress sizes and I feel GREAT!! I have not had a fill yet, but I go back to see the doctor on Feb. 9th,2010. I hope that everyone is doing well.

I think that I would call on Monday to get something sit up for after my surgery. It may just be a cyst or something else.

I'm three weeks into my liquid diet I have one more week to go before my surgery. Yesterday wasn't so bad I drank my shake while everyone else ate. I did have to have just two bites of turkey so I thought I did well. I can wait til my surgery date which is December 7th. I wish you well. -
Happy Thanksgiving to all I have one week before my surgery date on Dec.7th. It has not been so bad on all liquids.:thumbup:

Well it is the end of my third week of liquid diet and it hasn't been all that bad even today and it was Thanksgiving. My kids were so sweet they are 19 and 15 they didn't want to have Thanksgiving at my mom's because they didn't want me to have to cook. I told them that I would be find and I would just drink my shake, because next Thanksgiving I would be able to eat and I may be smaller. You know it was not that bad. :cursing:

Hi the second time I had a sleep study done because my husband had told me that I had quite breathing at night. I already had high blood pressure but that wasn't enough for them. Good luck

It has taken 11months to get approved by my insurance company. I have waited and waited it seems like forever. The last time I was told I had been diened I just cried. On November 2nd I lost my aunt Joanne to a complication of surgery she was a very sick lady but she never complained about anything. The very next day I got the phone call that I had been approve for my LAP-BAND® surgery and I just cried. I just want to be in better health for my family and friends but most of all for me. I will need everyone's help. I will try to write something each day. I start my liquid diet on Monday. :smile2:

Yes my surgery is Dec.7th at 7:30. I have been on my liquid diet for three weeks now. The first two I did get dinner as real food. This past Monday I started full liquids it has not been so bad even with today being Thanksgiving I had my shake> I have lost 10lbs so far. How are you doing with your pre-surgery diet.

Hi Cindy, My name is Samantha I met you the first of the year when I came to a meeting at the hospital. It has taken me 11 months to be approved my date is set for Dec. 7th at 7:30. The first two weeks the doctor has me on two liquid Protein meals with one meal of real food for dinner low calorie. Then I can have sugar free Jello,puddings, and popsicles or V8 and low fat yogurt. Then the last two weeks is all liquid meals. It wasn't to bad today but come 6:00pm I was ready for my chicken. Oh yeah no drink with my meal or a hour before or after that is hard for me.:tongue2:

Well it's been awhile since I have been on here. Since 2/09 I have been dined three times they say that I don't meet their requirements even when my BMI is 39 and I have High Blood pressure. But the surgeon that hopefully will be doing my surgery helped me get in touch with a group of lawyers that now have my case out for review I hope to hear in about 10 days. It has been dishearting to be turned down when I know that this could help me. Does anyone have any advice to help. Thanks for Everthing

Hi my name is Samantha and I'm waiting to hear from my insurance company. Last Friday they dined my claimed I was bumed out. But my surgeon's nurse was good she said that we would appeal hopefully I will hear something this week.
