yeah the baggy pants are great.. I love them.. My NSV for yesterday was trying to play soccer with my son yesterday and havin my pants fall to my knees while trying to run... we were in our backyard so it wasn't to embarassing... So I went in the house to get out a pair of pants from last year... and they FIT.. still a little tight but i got them on and buttoned and I could walk and sit and didn't feel uncomfortable. So I can say that as of right now I am loving the Lap-Band even more.. I started at a tight size 24 and I can wear a size 18 now.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem....I went for my first fill on Thursday, 2/5, and I weighed in at the doctors at 274, but today I got on the scale and I weigh 280. I don't know what happen, I hardly consumed anything the last couple of days cause I don't feel hungry at all, I have all I can do right now to drink my shakes.:confused: I don't know what is wrong.

thank you both for the encouragement.. and I am not sure if the scales read the same.. they probably don't... I will try to walk everyday this week and see what happens. I guess the biggest thing is that I am at the 20lbs lost mark, and this is were I usally fall back into my old eating habits, and I am just scared that I am going to do it again. I really want this so bad.. it just sometimes seem like I will never get there. I know that a slow and steady weight loss is the best.

Who started with a weight over 300 pounds?
lyndi replied to avanderhoof's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
is it common to go up after a fill. cause I got filled thursday and I weighed 274, but today I got on the scale and weighed 280. I don't understand cause I have hardley ate anything. -
I've also chewed some food and spit it out, just the fact that I was able to chew on something. After actually eating some real solids and my doctor sort of yelling at me that I can damage my stomach. But since I got my fill, he said I can start on mushies on Thursday. As far as damage from chewing and spitting, I don't think you can do any.

I must confess that I couldn't handle only drinking fluids after the first week. I kind ate a little bit of mashed potatoes, and even some chicken. And now I am wondering if I could have hurt my stomach. I didn't feel sick after I ate, but I am still not sure, did anyone else sneak some solids in before recommended?? Am I alone on this?

Who started with a weight over 300 pounds?
lyndi replied to avanderhoof's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My starting weight was 303, on Jan. 7th, and when I was banded jan. 17 i was 294. Today I weighed in at 274. Good luck to you. -
I just went in for my very first fill on thursday, but I don't know know how much my dr. put in. But I feel like I had more restriction before my fill. should I call my doctor or give it another couple days to see. I know that I am not hungry now at all, but it seems like when I do eat everything goes down fine.

A big NSV for me is when i am able to sit in a restuarant at a booth and not have my stomach touching or, even hanging over the table.

How many banders can eat bread without problems? How much and when?
lyndi replied to coloradobanding's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
i have had a little bread, and seem to be fine. I just made sure that I chewed it well enough. I can't seem to give up a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, def a weakness of mine. I just make a half a one now. -

lyndi replied to KawasakiChick's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't know why my dr. already had me get a fill. But he wanted me in at about 3 weeks to get it done. I went today and he said that I should not need a filll now though for at least 2 months. I thought it was weird too, cause it seems like I am the only one that has had a fill this early. Surgery jan. 17, 2009 1st fill. Feb. 5, 2009 -

CONGRATS!!! GOOD LUCK. -
i am having trouble quiting too. I was going to give it up for new years because i knew that I was getting banded. Now that I am banded, I knew that I needed to quit. it is hard for me, but I know that it is something that needs to be done. I only have 2 days not smoking. Hang in there. We can do it together

I was banded on jan. 17, of this year, and I stopped loosing weight 1 week ago, I was getting really discouraged and started thinking that there was something wrong. Thanks to your question and all the people that answered I don't feel like I am alone and that this was just going to be another failed attempt at weight loss. Thank you.
