What to bring with to the hospital

I brought my I'd, my cpap and phone & charger. I wore the same clothes to and from home. You literally sip, walk and sleep. I didn't bring anything else.

    At home sleep study

I had my study about 15 years ago and had to do mine in a sleep study clinic. The machines have come a long way since them. My machine is a auto titratating machine and it shows me each day how many apneas I have per hour. I'm down 76 pounds and my apneas average about 4.5 an hour. I'm hoping I can get off this machine in the next 6 months. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!! Note: I originally averaged 15 per hour. But, as I became heavier I think it got more severe.

    No restriction?

I'm 6 months out and can barely eat 2 oz of dense protein and I get a very full feeling. I don't understand why your Dr would advance you to 6-8 weeks at 2 weeks. Personally I don't feel getting enough protein in without shakes/high protein yogurt is possible. Take it slow at your stage. It will be best to allow for the most weight loss. Good luck!

What a Difference a Poop Makes!

I'm planning in seeing my dietitian soon to help me get through this slump and will asj her about it. I'm also going to see my endocrinologist because my bs levels are still a little elevated and I need to see how to handle it. I definitely interested in doing low carb and the fasting to help get the sugars down!

I'm not sure what Ef is? But, yes I've thought of doing the others.

What a Difference a Poop Makes!

Yes, I believe it is ok to fast with metformin. As far as I know it doesn't cause lows like other drugs may. Since I have started the Lantus I have noticed a big slow down in my weight loss. I'm eating about 1200, (which may be too much) but, not hardly moving now at the all. I'm worried I will not lose anymore weight and am struggling to stay motivated.

    Very pretty! Congrats!
  10. Maybe try a hydrocortisone cream. It would help with itching. Good luck!

What a Difference a Poop Makes!

I take an opioid for chronic pain and that seems to make it worse. I'm lucky if I go every 4 days. I'm just not sure how I can be stuck at this stall again. Like you said, maybe metformin will help. Lantus seems to help, but I'm told it may slow down weigh loss even more. 🥵

What a Difference a Poop Makes!

I've been terribly constipated. I talked to my PA at my 6 month checkup and I'm going back in my metformin. My blood sugars are still a little elevated. Only 130 this morning, but metformin get things rapidly moving. Lol Hopefully my weightloss will get moving again.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm worried about how much more I can eat too. Not so much in one sitting, but i can eat within another hour to two hours and that is not good for a food addict like myself. I talked to my PA at my 6 month checkup and told her my concerns. She wants me to see my nutritionist to go over food. I'm not eating so much that i would not be losing at least 1 pound a week, but I'm not really losing anything. I'm afraid my honeymoon may be over. 🥵

    It looks pretty!💗
  16. Is it too early to be concerned about not having enough weight loss? My restriction has lessened and I'm losing at a snail's pace. I'm so concerned. I lost about 5 pounds in June. Should I have had gastric bypass? How early is it to consider a revision? Help!!

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I've tried the nacho cheese quest chips and the were pretty good. I got them at GNC. Good luck! It's getting trying to lose weight at this point.
  19. Omg, I know the feeling! I had surgery in February as well and can eat so much more. I can't overeat at one meal, but could graze. I'm on my way to my 6 month post-op in 5 minutes a d plan to be honest with my PA about the situation. I've lost 75 pounds and am so worried she might be disappointed in the loss. I will let you know. Best wishes!🥵

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm sorry. I've been having the same thing happening. My weight went up about 3 pounds from the weight I have listed. Finally after a week it has gone back to 262.5. It is so frustrating! I have my 6 month checkup tomorrow and going to talk to my PA about it being so hard to lose/slow weight loss. I'm also going to talk to her about reevaluating my weight at 1 year. The Sr wanted me to do the DS to have the best chance of getting rid of my diabetes. I didn't want to do that but possibly may consider at the 1 year mark. I already have neuropathy in my feet and legs and can't afford for it to get worse. Hang in there. I totally know how you feel!💯💗

    Surgery

    Best on your surgey!
  23. They put an extra iv in me after surgery began. It is hard for them to find my veins. Good luck on your surgery!!

    Do I really regret it?

Yes,I felt the same way. It lasts awhile, but once you start real food and lose bunches of weight you will love that you went through it all. Hang in there, it gets so much better!!
