Omg my meds are making me🤪🤪 I though I read you were from Alaska. Lol
-
Haha. We should call you frozfroz! 😘 It's just the oddest thing to me. I think it's better than sweating bullets! Stay warm in Alaska, I'm your neighbor in Washington. 😊😊

February 2019 weight loss buds
gabybab replied to TheMarine79's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I had my surgery 2/25 and had no appetite until 2 evenings ago. No interest in anything. Everything tasted bad/different. The past 3 nights I have had 1 cup of chicken broth. I sip it, but probably do in 10 minutes. It goes down so easy. I was absolutely starving last night and it did the trick. Hope I'm ok too, because it didn't restrict at all. -
Yes, I did. No one ever mentioned it and I seem to be ok. Thanks for asking!
-
Yes, it makes a world of difference. It should help you rest better! Feel better!

Having had both surgeries at separate times, sleeve was more painful for me. I personally would take 2 weeks off. Depends on your after diet. I'm on liquid for 1 week and I'm on day 7. I literally have no energy. I suspect if your Dr allows nutrition earlier, you may he fine. Good luck!

I would check with your Dr. I had robotic surgery in Monday and I'm 80% better & have been able to sleep on my side for the last 3 nights. Are you taking your meds? It was really rough though for a few days. I hope you get over this hump and feeling better. It sucks!

You can really see it in your face. You look AMAZING! I had a rough go of it too!

Trouble staying on my pre-op diet
gabybab replied to Nancytx's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I did a pre-op diet. It was not easy, but it's much easier than the first week after surgery. Try to eat more veggies if you can. I'm on day 6 of my clear liquid diet and I didn't miss food till last night. You'll do it! Good luck! P.S. I wasn't perfect, but did what I could. -
Having a smell I can't stand. What is it from my surgery? I haven't had anything but water since Monday morning. Not due to start shakes till this coming Monday. Thanks!

Acute left shoulder pain post sleeve surgery
gabybab replied to Sami Al Masri's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the same pin in my should in the hospital and they told me I needed to walk to be able to find relief. They were on me every 3 hours to get up. Guess it works, because I got no sleep, but have no more shoulder pain 4 days out. I hope you feel better soon. It's a brutal journey imho. -
Lori, I had the mine on monday as well. I'm much, much better, but nothing ever prepared me for how much pain this surgery was. I now can lay on my side, but it was pretty rough there. I was so upset that I had made a terrible mistake. I feel better today, but still sore in the mid back when I drink a wee too much. I really hope it starts to get better for you! I'm weaning a bit off the meds finally. Feel better!

I'm type 2 & take metformin, glimeperide and Lantus at night. My bs is running 200 in the morning taking nothing. Trying to work with my endo to figure out what to do. Surgery was Monday and so I'm still healing. Taking in mo calories and Dr sent me home with liquid meds, with sugar. Go figure.
-
I had my surgery on Monday and my surgeon has me on clear liquids for 7 days, then on to shakes, and protein soups etc. I don't think I'm ready for anything thicker. I just want to give my stomach time to heal. Best wishes on your recovery.

February 2019 weight loss buds
gabybab replied to TheMarine79's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well, I had surgery on Monday and it went well. I had a small hiatal hernia repaired. I'm in a world of hurt. This by far is the worst surgery I've ever had--most painful. I'm going through some serious buyers remorse, like wtf did I do to myself? I can barely take care of myself, so my daughter got up and gave me pain medicine and crushed my anti-nausea meds. Today is day three of clear liquid only. Still a bit parched. Good luck to all the new surgeries coming up. -
Good luck tomorrow! Keep us updated on how it goes. I will. Thanks!
-
Absolutely. My headache the first day was terrible! I feel for you. Take it easy. 😊

What's going on? Can you take tylenol? I'm sorry, hope it gets better.

Oh I'm sorry. I've read that can be a complication of diabetes, especially with type 1. -

I'm going to push fluids because I'm just falling sicker. I've been on protonix and shouldnt be this bad. Definitely a possibility. What type of surgery did you have? -

My endocrinologist is telling me I'm ok to take no meds. I'm going to see her in 2 months. She told me I could take 1/2 a glimeperide if my sugar is high. I will be monitoring it closely. I'm going to buy some glucose tablets on my way to the hospital to have at home. I'm terrified of low, but also of high, as I have neuropathy. -

No. It's my stomach. Ive felt nauseated all week. I've had troubles and I'm worried it will get worse after surgery. I brought it up to my Dr's nurse about weather the sleeve was right for me and she said, he wouldn't do it if he didn't feel comfortable.
