    CHI Franciscan experiences

I see you have the same Dr I had. I only waited 2 months, I see I said 3 earlier. Mine was so long because they were on vacation for Christmas. Keep on calling them and it should be soon!

    CHI Franciscan experiences

The last time I called I got a little short on their answering machine. I was called the next day to schedule. I waited 8 weeks from the day I was approved until my surgery. Was approved December 17th and had surgery Feb 25th. Hang in there, it should be soon!
  4. Omg they will find any excuse to try and not cover surgery. I hope you get an answer soon! Good luck!

    Post op Blues

I also, feel a bit this way. I had a b12 shot about 3 weeks ago and it helped immensely. I'm going for another shot Friday. I hope you ladies get to feeling better. Time is the best cure!

    CHI Franciscan experiences

I had my surgery through the same clinic. It took forever to hear back from them. My surgery was almost 3 months to the day from my approval. I have an idea they are very back logged. Good luck!

    Pain Post Op

I had 2 c sections and this sleeve surgery was way worse in comparison. I thought I was dying. I had oxycodone and hydrocodone and I took both for probably 7 days. It was a lifesaver. so, if you can, take the pain medicine and it will make it easier. Best wishes on your recovery!

    Hi

It's normal. I felt like xrap and was sore for 10 days and it gets so much better. Hang in there!
  12. Hi! Please be nice. I've been the same weight for 16 days. I mean the exact weight. I've lost 42 lbs so far, but not one more pound. I've been tracking my eating in an app and get no more than 1100 calories. How is this possible? I have ate some high fat foods, otherwise I'm not sure what is going in and I feel like this is it, no more weight loss, even though I'm eating 1/4 of my previous food. Please help me understand. Also, I started back with 15 units of Lantus & my endo said it could make me gain weight. Really? Help!!
  13. Any suggestions to doctor yogurt up? I eat vanilla and put 1 T pumpkin seeds in there for crunch. I'm getting bored, but it's a high protein source. Thanks all. Appreciate it!!
  14. I'm getting about 60-65
  15. Cottage cheese, refried beans, yogurt and fairlife mils is what I lived off. Fairlife Coles in chocolate too. I can ear meat, but it hurts really quickly. I'm almost 7 weeks out, so I try to stick to softer foods. Good luck! It will get better!
  16. My Dr recommends bypass, buy I chose sleeve. I have type 2 diabetes. Its veen 6 weeks and my bs are normalizing. I only take 10 units of lantus at night now. Hopefully I will be off that soon.

    Strange allergies

Yes. My skin gets irritated by latex. This time I got sore from the tape. Next time I have any procedure I need to tell them about it. It also caused raised welts all around the edges where the tape was.

    Very first puree meal, question

I are cream of wheat as my first food. I either ate too fast or it was too thick. I thought we were going to have to call the ambulance 🚑🚑 because I was having stomach spasms. It hilarious to think back now lol My first food was traumatizing for me.

    Diabetic and sleeved

I'm 6 weeks post-op and my sugar is just recently lowering. I was so freaked out because the told me to not take anything post surgery. I was running over 200 morning and night and I was eating hardly anything and nothing the first week. I was insulin dependent, but now am running about 150, which is much better.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I've been struggling a bit myself. I've been logging my calories, but have reached for the wrong things a few times this week. I've not had a loss for 12 days and it is discouraging. I'm not eating over 1000, usually a little less. I'm so afraid I'm going to not lose anymore weight.

    Stomach pain

I want to say thanks so much to everyone that has helped me along the journey of getting my surgery and now post-op. I'm having a problem with a pain in my stomach. It's not constant. It comes and just is a big ache and subsides. When it comes it makes me moan and I feel silly, but it's nothing I have ever felt before. Any ideas? I've had a cat scan, and upper GI. I don't think it's serious, but it is nothing fun. I ate tuna tonight and have burning in my throat. First time in a very long time.
  22. I've seen where they cover the stomach. Not sure about anywhere else. I'm going to need other spots.
  23. I have the same feeling. I'm 6 weeks out tomorrow and have to wat 5-6 meals a day to reach my protein goals. It seems I no sooner start eating and I'm full. Hopefully further out we can get more in? Best of luck!

Talk with your Dr. Maybe you need to eat a bit more to get adequate nutrition? Maybe snacks? Congratulations!!
